The City of Cadiz is happy to announce the Hometown Hero banners are in the process of going up today. We are thankful for our service men and women.

We are certainly proud of all that have served!

Please note we tried to group families together as best we could. Getting all of the banners up will take some time, there are only 63 lamp posts downtown with built in brackets. Pennyrile Electric was gracious enough to allow us to install brackets on their poles, this has allowed the City to honor nearly double what we could have initially accommodated.

Thank you to our Public Works Director and Street Department for their hard work in getting the process started today. There are many, many hours invested in this project and we are proud of how it has turned out.

There will be opportunities sometime in the future to place an order for new flags. Watch Facebook and WKDZ for details on when.

The Hideaway is beautiful. When you first walk in, the place smells so good and the furniture is really nice. The Hideaway is tucked in the back away from everything but is so peaceful and tranquil. Abundant wildlife is amazing to see and take pictures of. Lisa gave us a few recommendations for restaurants and shops in the area. Such as Taste of the South which is really a hidden gem with down home cooking. We had a great time and hopefully will be back again. Thank you Lisa
