Our last stop of our 11 day cruise was Nice, France. We made our way to the second smallest country in the world, Monaco. We visited the Place du Casino in Monte-Carlo and seen the route of the Grand Prix.

Now that we are home and the jet lag is wearing off, I have a few more pictures to post from the last couple of days of our trip.
Livorno, Italy - we visited the Tuscany country side with a stop in San Gimignano and Volterra.
San Gimignano is known as the Town of Fine Towers and is famous for it's medieval architecture and great views of the Tuscan country side.
Volterra is a lot like San Gimignano only not as touristy. The architecture of both places is amazing.

So we got to check another country off the list, Valleta, Malta. Very cool looking country. We took a lift to the top of the old town. We visited a monastery that was established in 1575 and still has nuns living there today.
After Malta we visited Sicily. We took a tour of the coast and ended in Taormina for some shopping and sightseeing on our own. We were also able to see Mount Etna, which is a very active volcano.
Then on to Naples to visit the Amalfi coast, Sorrento and Pompeii. The drive along the Amalfi coast was beautiful and at times scary…a lot of switchbacks and sheer cliffs. Pompeii is awe inspiring. It blows my mind to see how much of the city is so well preserved. Just two days left, Livorno, Italy for wine tasting and lastly Nice, France.

Next stop on our Mediterranean Cruise aboard the NCL Epic was Athens, Greece. We toured the Acropolis which includes the Parthenon and saw the first Olympic stadium. We also watched the changing of the guards out side the prime minster’s house.

Last day in Rome was spent touring the Vatican. We are now on the NCL Epic. Our first day was spent at sea, it was a much needed day of rest and good air conditioning. Our first day off the ship is Santorini. We visited a winery, did some shopping, and wandered around.

Oh wow, it has been a hot busy couple of days in Rome. The temps have been in the high 90s but that has not stopped us from exploring. Day one was spent wandering around, we visited the Jewish Quarter, the Trevi Fountain, watched the cannon go off on Janiculum Hill…it has been going off everyday at noon since 1847.
Day two we toured the Colosseum, Roman Forum and the Pantheon.

We are off to Italy and Greece! Going to be great experience!

Be a travel agent, it will be fun they said! Yesterday started at 3:45AM with my first call about the computer issues and end the day at around Midnight after spending over 4 hours on the phone with Delta alone plus time talking to client and other companies. Today was later day for starting at around noon and just getting wrapped now! Even went out to eat tonight only to have to spend the whole meal out in the car on the phone. Some times I wonder why I do it, until I scroll through Facebook and see the joy I get to deliver to my clients in their pics!
