interested in quotas (i.e., 30 patients a day), shortcuts, or nameless faces. We use the latest treatments including Active Release Technique(ART), Kinesio Taping, Graston Technique, Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation and the Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine. Olympic weightlifting focuses on moving weight from the ground to an overhead position with two different lifts; the clean & jerk and the sn**ch.

So these athletes primarily focus on movement in one front to back plane of motion (known as the sagittal plane). However, their core must be prepared to stabilize heavy weight from all directions when it’s caught in a vulnerable, overhead position. Here’s how:

1st Exercise
Deadbug + anti-rotation = CORE STRENGTH
This move builds awareness of bracing and maintaining a neutral spine despite the legs moving in opposite directions and upper body resisting rotation which will really fire up your core!

2nd Exercise
Paloff press in split stance = FUNCTIONAL CORE STRENGTH
By working on rotational strength while in the split jerk position, Dan’s brain & core can be better prepped from multiple directions for when that heavy bar wobbles around.

When we opened Iron Physical Therapy in 2011, we dreamed of creating something radical -- highly personalized healthcare.We believed people were as tired of the big box approach as we were. We believed that seeing only 1-2 patients per doctor would result in faster pain relief and better outcomes. We believed that athletes (or aspiring athletes) would respond positively to being treated by other athletes. We believed in the human potential to Get Better and Be Better. If you have been disappointed by other practices ("mills") that rush you through cookie cutter treatment, then you will be pleasantly surprised. Our model is rare in physical therapy, but we know that spending extra time to assess and connect with patients as a whole person results in lasting wellness. We believe rehabilitation is the ultimate partnership! Our goal is to provide immediate results and ultimately long-term recovery through highly skilled assessment, one-on-one treatment, re-education and really listening to your story.
