Are you passionate about community development and historic preservation? The Callicoon Depot, Inc, is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors starting 1st Quarter 2025. This is a two-year commitment. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in administration, facilities and communications; specifically grant writing, fundraising, grounds upkeep and maintenance, as well as graphic design, social media mgmt. and volunteer coordinating.
As a board member, you’ll play a crucial role in the continuation of transforming our historic train station into a vibrant community hub. Your expertise will help us manage and develop our finances and facilities and enhance our outreach efforts.

Event Highlights:

Come learn about the DVJC mission, the various training offered and opportunities to collaborate on projects. Also, meet the staff and students.

All proceeds from the book sale will go towards the ongoing restoration and development of the depot, helping us create a vibrant community space for everyone to enjoy.

The Callicoon Business Association, Callicoon Depot Inc. and Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, invite all community members to participate in our next public town hall meeting to discuss and gather valuable community feedback on the highly anticipated Callicoon Train Depot Visitor Center Project.

The event will take place on July 16th, at 6:00 pm at the Delaware Youth Center in the hamlet of Callicoon, NY.

This transformative project aims to restore the historic Callicoon Train Depot and convert it into a dynamic community asset. The project partners are eager to present the community with project updates and discuss the future of the Callicoon Train Depot.

The town hall meeting will serve as an essential platform for community members to learn about the project's history, plans, timeline, and details and have an opportunity to offer their insights and suggestions and to actively participate in shaping the future of the Callicoon Depot.

A panel of project partners will be available to provide expert insights and answer questions.

Your presence and input will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Callicoon Train Depot Visitor Center.

Don’t forget as part of our NEW monthly Open Depot Series, the Callicoon Depot is excited to host Lockwood Creation Studio for a Community Arts and Crafts Day on Saturday, June 29th from 10am to 4pm. You can look forward to a water coloring workshop, drawing and reading! A kid’s cozy corner with games and lounge area. Take a moment to step inside the Depot where we’re continuing are used books sale. We’ll offer tours of the depot and provide information on all the great things happening here.
