Reviews about Lisa's tour! We were thrilled to get Lisa Stoll as our tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and spent time asking questions at the beginning of the tour to identify our likes, dislikes and knowledge. My husband being the wine enthusiast and quite knowledgeable himself was impressed and Lisa also catered to my somewhat basic knowledge without boring my husband or making me feel "un-educated" Some unexpected highlights of the trip.., wine tasting fees are part of the price, we had menu choices for the picnic lunch, a tutorial of essences during the drive ( Lisa provided us with essence testers which was fun to guess the various scents). Private production tour after a lovely picnic lunch...Lisa made a point to take us through the different micro climates. Foxen Canyon road is incredible ! Lisa obviously read us very well and we did not feel rushed which really left us feeling that we were actually on vacation! - DPDF I loved our tour guide/driver LISA!!! She was the best!..She was the friendliest, happiest person. Right away she asked if we were experienced in wine tasting and knew about the vineyards here, when she knew we were "rookies" she educated us about EVERYTHING!!...We were all very happy and satisfied with our tour. Lisa showed us how to smell, sip and taste wine but also made us feel comfortable in asking any questions. I would definitely recommend LISA for your tour guide! :) - Cindy B. -Valencia, CA My wife and I took my father and his wife on a private Vineyard tour. We had asked for Lisa...and we were not disappointed. Great attitude, fun, incredibly knowledgeable. We leaned so much throughout the day: history of wine making in the U.S., impact on CA vineyards and recovery from prohibition. You name it, we learned it. We visited three vineyards (Lisa was prepared to do a fourth - but we were spent). This was money really well spent. We were wholly unfamiliar with wine making (although we love to drink it) so the day was a huge success mixing fun and education. Just as promised. Great job, Lisa! And thanks for the restaurant tips, too! - Bill H. -Washington, DC I had a fabulous time on this tour. It was my husbands and I first time going on a tour. We had Lisa as our sommelier who was fantastic. I definitely gained a great amount of knowledge and enjoyed the beautiful wineries that we went to. Lisa was friendly and so were the staff from the wineries. I'm definitely booking another trip during the harvest season to taste the grapes. A huge thank you to Lisa. - Diana C.-Los Angeles, CA We just got back last weekend for a trip to Santa Barbara visiting my best friend. My husband, best friend, her boyfriend and myself decided to take a private wine tour around Santa Barbara for the day. We went with the private wine tour since we don't get to see each other often and we wanted alone time and we thought it would be nice to go at our own pace without having a big group of people. WOW - was it worth it! The entire day was just perfect. Our guide, Lisa was just super sweet and so knowledgeable about the vineyard and about wine in general. We truly enjoyed her expertise and she took us to the perfect vineyards. She knew exactly what we were looking for. Lisa educated us at the perfect time and let us be at the perfect time. Everything was so personalized as well (our trip through Solvang which made someone happy in our van). Our entire day was better than ever. - DreamTraveler2011 Lisa was our wonderful tour guide. So knowledgeable of the wine, production and surrounding area. I can say I learned something new that day. Lisa has a wonderful personality and would definitely come back and request her as our guide. - Roseanna G. Corona, CA What a day!! Spent the afternoon with Lisa, who was an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide! Since our group was small (only 4: super nice couple, Tom and Grace from Portland), Lisa let our taste pallets decide our wineries for the day. Stops at Brander, LaFond, Alma Rosa and Lincourt were the perfect way to spend an already amazing day in Santa Barbara wine country. If you're headed up to the area, this is definitely the best way to spend the day. Drinkin and NOT driving! - John W. Long Beach My husband and I are wine tour novices, and this tour was the perfect way to get us introduced. Our tour guide, Lisa, was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a good background in local wine making history. She was able to give us the basics without being condescending, and made us feel comfortable with asking any questions. We visited four wineries - Kohler, Lincourt, Rusack, and then Pinnacle in Solvang. it was a very pleasant experience. We got to see the barrels at Kohler and got up close and personal with the vines at one of the vineyards. - CJR - San Jose, CA My husband and I had a great time. We got Lisa as our guide and we couldn't be happier. She lived up to the reviews of being knowledgeable as well as personable and fun! We learned so much and did this trip not to get drunk but to learn. It was fun relaxing and a great way to learn for first time winos as ourselves. Thanks again for a great experience =) - Chris Our driver/tour guide, Lisa Stoll, was the best! She possessed all the necessary credentials to keep us well informed and interested in the various phases of wine in the Santa Barbara area. I look forward to my next visit.
