On January 26th 2025 our horse barn here at Mystic Mountain Training Center burned to the ground. Thankfully all of the animals were outside, and no one was injured. So many folks have reached out to ask “how can I help?” - Here is how!

Insurance has covered the cost of the exterior shell of the building (praising Jesus for that!), but we still need to move the dirt for the site preparation, finish the construction inside, and continue replacing contents. We are needing to fundraise an additional $45,000 to finish the rebuild of the barn. To date, we have raised a little over $13,000 of the $45,000! Construction is set to begin on March 3rd, with the goal of being able to have the horses move in at the end of March.

Thank you so much to those who have given so far! We are trusting God to provide, and putting in the work to spread the word far and wide.

The original barn was 30’x60’ but the new barn will be expanded to 46’x112’. This additional area will provide round bale storage close to where the horses are fed, and a small indoor arena for when the weather isn’t conducive to working horses outside.

Happy Valentines Day from all of us at Mystic Mountain! We couldn't do any of this without our volunteers, and love you all dearly! A special thanks to the Tri Delta Sorority at Allegheny College for reaching out to come give us a hand with barn chores.

The smoke has (mostly) settled and the bulk of the old barn has been cleaned up. We still have a literal dumpster fire happening, but we are getting ready for the next step. Dirt work for the new barn will begin shortly - prayers for adequate digging weather would be appreciated!

We are moving forward in faith that God will provide for all of the financial needs associated with rebuilding. We will have a fundraising goal out soon, as well as more exciting info! Stay tuned! Since the fire on Sunday, so many of you have asked "how can I help?" - here is an update as of today.

💙 As the Olczak family, we need a chance to take a minute to just breathe and process what just happened - from losing our barn & contents, to the goodness of God through the little things. 💙

💲 Donate - As of right now, the biggest thing is going to be collecting donations for the rebuild. In talking with other camps & ministries who have had to rebuild after fire, unfortunately insurance only goes so far. With the updates that will need to be made, insurance will only cover so much. BUT WITH GOD, He can do mighty things, and we believe that He will build a better facility, giving us a chance to dream big and potentially expand our horse program! Will you partner with us financially to help build a new barn facility and replace the items that were lost?

Clean up - Once we have a chance to sort through insurance, we will be posting clean up days if you'd like to come help with that. It's going to take many hands!

🐎 Horse Needs - We need to compile a list of what is specifically needed and what needs to be replaced. We are currently set up well for the day to day care of the horses. Since we don’t have a barn to put physical donations in, donating monetarily is the most helpful at the moment.

Yesterday morning our Event Center was "just hay storage" for the winter... as of tonight, all 10 horses are in stalls & together! 🎉 praising God for the faithfulness of His followers and all of the help that was provided.

Phase one is complete - temporary housing. The next step will be focusing on what the rebuilding process looks like.

A huge THANK YOU to the volunteers who came out the past two days to help build, work with the horses, and help finalize things! We could not have done it without you and are overwhelmed with how y'all showed up.

We will be starting work up again at 1pm this afternoon on the remaining stalls!

The barn may still be smoldering, but God is already showing up in big ways! Today, with the help of 25 ish volunteers, we were able to get 6 of the 10 stalls up in the Event Center! Tomorrow morning at 9am we will continue to work on the other 4 and finish up the little details needed to help make this a temporary home.

Our primary focus has been getting the horses set up here and then we will begin the process of "what comes next."

Some of you may have seen already, but today we lost our barn in a barn fire. We just wanted to update and let everyone know that the horse herd was outside, and they are all safe! The barn is lost, but God can rebuild back. Praising Him that the animals were outside!

We will update as we are able to.
