Finished the last mow and some tidying up at the cottage. Happened to look at the outdoor thermometer and it’s stuck on 84degrees, even the cottage doesn’t want to say goodbye to summer. ☀️🍁

Much as I would like to take a paddle, it’s too windy and I’d risk getting wet but what a beautiful fall day on Lake Lauderdale. The ride through Washington County to get here was soothing and full of peak fall colors with the sun shine.a

Our cottage is available if a family needs a retreat from the weather down south. We only ask that you are a friend (or a friend of a friend). We close the cottage for the winter by Thanksgiving. We would not charge you to stay.

Short term rental on Lake Lauderdale, Cambridge, NY, available for 2024 summer season. Plenty of dates available June 1 -Sept 30, excluding holiday weekends. $200/night or $1000/week. Comfortably sleeps 6 adults plus some kiddos. Heat and AC, high speed internet included. Relax, grill, swim paddle and enjoy an evening campfire. Kayaks and vests use included. Beautiful County park nearby with sandy beach, playground and hiking trails. Wander into the quaint village of Cambridge for dining and antique shopping. Grab some baked good and fresh veggies at the weekly farmers market or from an Amish farm stand. Message requests for desired dates and we will do our best to accommodate them.
