🎶 30 boys. 30 futures forever changed.

At St. Paul’s Choir School, 2 out of 3 students would not be here without financial aid—but thanks to generous supporters, these boys receive an education that shapes their voices, character, and future success.

Alumni often say this school was the foundation for everything that came next:

📢 “The work ethic and organizational skills you learn as a choir boy are very important. Those skills helped me through high school, college, and even now in my career.”

📢 “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to come to the choir school. I feel like coming to St. Paul’s has paid dividends in my life.”

One of those alumni is Mike Yaeger, Class of 1995—now an MD at Goldman Sachs—who will be sharing his story at this year’s Gala. His journey is just one example of how a great education can carry boys into lives of leadership and excellence.

🎟️ Join us at the St. Paul’s Choir School Gala—an evening of extraordinary music and lasting impact.

You have just 9 days to get your ticket. The Gala is Saturday March 1 at Granite Links Club in Quincy. Get your ticket today. See link in our bio and in our comments!

tune in TONIGHT at 8pm to hear a recording of chorister's singing in "Die Tote Stadt" with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Lyric Opera on CRB!!! Link is in the article!!!

Tune in February 10th at 8pm for "Die tote Stadt" on WCRB!

The line between grief and obsession becomes blurred in Erich Korngold’s Die tote Stadt (“The Dead City”); an incredibly tender work, embodying the twilight of the Romantic era. The opera’s theme of struggling with the memory of a lost loved one undoubtedly resonated with audiences still traumatized by the recent catastrophe of World War I.

WGBH featured St. Paul’s Choir School today, the last Catholic choir school for boys in the U.S. (see link in comments). But there’s lots to the story that didn’t quite make it into the coverage.
Yes, the boys are singing in German—but why? Because for the second time in five months, they’ve been invited to perform with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Tanglewood Festival Chorus—an unheard-of achievement for any boy choir. 🎼✨
However, St. Paul’s is more than music. It’s about:
✅ Excellence—Performing at an elite level, both musically and academically.
✅ Brotherhood—A community where boys lift each other up and grow together.
✅ Formation—Shaping young men with discipline, perseverance, and character that lasts a lifetime.
The story of St. Paul’s Choir School isn’t just about history—it’s about what’s happening right now. A strong education. A transformative experience. A journey that stays with them for life.
💡 Curious to see what makes St. Paul’s so special? Read the WGBH article below—and then come listen to the boys’ angelic voices singing at the 11am Mass one Sunday during the school year. And if you have a boy entering grades 3 through 7 in the fall, come experience the real story for yourself by visiting the school, and email our Director of Admissions Julia Janowski, at [email protected]

We are fortunate to share this inspiring video of our alumnus, Will Evans. His story is one of resilience, preparation, brotherhood, and excellence. That Saint Paul's Choir School fostered these traits is our sincere privilege!

We provide a nurturing environment where boys not only grow intellectually but also personally, underpinned by the Catholic moral tradition and a world-class music program.

Parents today are often looking for something more for their boy's education than most other schools can offer. Picture your son, or a boy you know, as part of this vibrant community – mastering academics in small classes, excelling in music, and developing the discipline and camaraderie that will prepare him for all of life’s demands.

Our friend and colleague, Mr. Richard Clark, recently shared a response to Pope Francis's 2019 address to the "Scholae Cantorum" of the Italian Association of St. Cecilia. In it, he cites Saint Paul's Choir School as an example of the power that comes from "the way of beauty."

He says, "These boys sing at Mass five days per week with music drawn from the sacred treasury of our Roman Catholic faith. They recently sang Mahler's "Eighth Symphony" with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, which required them to sing in both German and Latin. These are regular kids! But far more important is the impact a prayerful Roman Catholic environment has on these children and on those who hear them at Mass."
