“Don’t wait until you have a friend or partner to travel with. There’s too much of the world to see,” said solo traveler Michelle. Her most recent trip was our Iceland: Reykjavík & the Northern Lights tour (see this tour: https://goaheadtours.me/3WjXA2i ) where she reunited with Marie, a fellow solo traveler from her first tour with us, who has turned into a travel buddy and dear friend. Michelle wanted to make something special for this trip, so she combined her love of travel and sewing and made a quilt of the northern lights.

She encourages anyone hesitant to travel solo to put their concerns aside. “Once you’re on tour, you’re part of the Go Ahead family so there’s no need to fear being alone,” she said. “For me, it’s the best of both worlds—during the day I’m a social butterfly, but at night I like to wind down and spend time alone in my room and recharge for the next day. Just go for it, you’ll make friends along the way and one of them could be just the travel buddy you weren’t looking for but feel blessed to have found.”
