A different kind of traffic jam today 😂
Beautiful blue skies today ahead of Storm Ashley coming in tonight. The Atlantic is getting a littly wavy already. I think we might be rockin' and rollin' on the ferry to Gigha in a bit!
We encountered a little traffic jam today!
The ferry crossing was a little windy and wavy this morning!
It was fun to listen to a bit of the pipe organ concert at the Kelvingrove Museum today!

It has been super busy in the office, so we missed a few days of Where is Wendy! Tawnya received a phone message from her with an update that all is going well. Seas were a bit rough on the first few days out of San Diego but otherwise it's been fantastic. The ship is not full so there have been no lines, people are really getting to know each other, and she is having a great time. On Thursday they spent the day at Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Hilo is the main, and largest city, on the Big Island and is the wettest city in the United States with 130+ inches of rain annually. That explains why it is so lush and you can find amazing waterfalls!
In 1946 Hilo was hit by a devastating tsunami that was triggered by an earthquake in Alaska. It was hit again in 1960 triggered by an earthquake in Chile.
The Big Island is home to Volcanoes National Park. The island is still growing due to volcanic activity!
It is also home to Mauna Loa, the largest, active volcano on earth!
British explorer, Captain James Cook, died on the Big Island at Kealakekua Bay in February 1779 after an encounter with Native Islanders.
