Kalo mina (a good month)! As they say on the first day of each in Greece.
March ( ) first in is a special day as it begins the spring season with a fun tradition. Children (and adults) make bracelets of white and red yarn or thread to wear for the month. The White symbolizes purity, innocence, and joy. The red represents vitality, health and love, victory, life and courage. It is believed also that this bracelet has a protective aspect of preventing diseases and sunburn, in Greece the sun can be quite strong during March.
I am once again making a bracelet for myself to wear for the entire month and I invite you to do the same. I’d love to see a picture of your Marti bracelet!
On March 31st when you remove your Martis bracelet, hang it on a tree or a rose bush for the birds to make their nests with.

I am not a superstitious person, but I think we could all use a little extra protection and joy this year.
Kalo Martis (Good March)!
