The Olad has capacity for up to 22 passengers, making her the perfect setting for a small wedding ceremony and celebration. Looking for something more intimate? Consider the Cutter Owl, which holds 6 passengers, perfect for intimate elopements on the bay!

We are still working on content for our marine debris prevention project and some videos will be added to lovemainewaters.org this winter. We need to give a shout out of thanks to Aaron Lincoln from the Schooner Olad who took the time to talk about different hull/prop/rudder configurations of various sail and power boats, and where they tend to have issues with lobster buoys.

With both boats out of the water and tucked into the workshop for the winter, we're looking back on all the summer fun we had this past season! Thanks for choosing the Olad and Owl for your family sails, birthday celebrations, island lobster bakes, and intimate weddings!

We love sharing the beauty of Penobscot Bay with our passengers, so this fall we're busy at work completing maintenance projects on the boats to ensure they're ready for another sailing season in 2025!

It was a bright and chilly morning hauling the Olad out for the season! Thanks to the team at for their amazing work unstepping the masts and hauling the Olad to her winter home in Rockport. Now begins our winter work!

Schooner Olad- Good morning from the cold and sunny Coast of Maine. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised to see Schooner Olad leaving Camden Harbor this morning before sunrise! I am guessing they were heading to a shipyard in Rockland to spend the winter. It was fun while it lasted!

How is everyone? I woke up to a chilly 28 this morning, glad I wore my winter hat! My coffee is tasting especially good this morning which has more to do with my cold fingers than the roasting. Lots of orders came in over the weekend and several local deliveries as well. It will be dark outside before you know it!

Thanks to our amazing team for a wonderful season of sailing on Penobscot Bay!

We enjoyed the perfect afternoon sail to celebrate the end of our season. Thanks to the friends and family that joined us, and we look forward to some rest this fall and winter!

It's hard to believe this is our last week of the sailing season! Olad will be offering three trips departing every day at 10:00am, 12:30pm, and 3:00pm until Sunday, October 20th!

The weather forecast looks great through the weekend, with high temperatures in the upper 50s and 60s, and plenty of sunshine!

Join us for some spectacular leaf peeping on Penobscot Bay, where the fall foliage along the coast is approaching its peak! 🌊🍁🍂☀️

Camden Harbor- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. Lately it seems the sunrise shots are more interesting after the sun rises due in part to the autumn leaves! This morning was a good example. With the sunlight shining on the sails of Schooner Olad and the backdrop of Mt. Battie, and of course the American flag blowing in the wind, it all seemed to come together.

How is everyone? Another busy day coming our way, two pallets of greens arriving this morning, always good for some exercise. I’m getting my caffeine intake up in preparation! A good day to be working outside!!
