This region consists of (14) counties covering a 9,000 square mile radius, and has a group of (11) long, narrow, north-south lakes, which reminded early map-makers of human fingers. Thus, the name Finger Lakes has been coined ever since. Canandaigua has been my hometown and is considered the western gateway to The Finger Lakes. It affords any ardent traveler the opportunity to become acquainted and fall in love with the unflawed design and natural beauty of this remarkable area. As a knowledgeable, experienced local guide and self-professed travel explorateur, my goal is to showcase our bioregion by raising the awareness of its farm to table movement, and revealing the countless things to see & do in the Finger Lakes. The region offers outstanding cultural and entertainment venues coupled with world class eateries. Our Story

The reality of bringing a walking food tour to the Finger Lakes area was an idea brought to fruition after vacationing in several cities up and down the east coast and getting to experience first-hand just what a tremendous service they provide. To know where to go in a new city in a short amount of time and to learn about what makes that city tick, how can you beat that? I soaked it all in like a sponge. I thought what a golden opportunity to be able to showcase our bioregion already a popular tourist destination located in the west-central section of Upstate New York!
