The UK Government has announced the next phase in the roll out of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). An ETA gives visitors permission to travel to the UK.

By April 2025, all visitors who do not need a visa will require an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to travel to the UK.

An ETA for American visitors will be required to enter the UK starting January 8th, 2025. Americans can apply in advance starting November 27, 2024.

The ETA will be linked to the traveller's passport and will last for two years or until the traveller's passport expires – whichever comes first.

Dates and Requirements:
- Eligible non-Europeans can apply in advance from November 27, 2024 and will need an ETA to travel from 8 January 2025.
- Eligible Europeans can apply from March 5, 2025 and will need an ETA to travel from 2 April 2025.

Costs:
An ETA costs £10 and permits multiple journeys to the UK for stays of up to six months at a time over two years or until the holder’s passport expires.

You may have noticed recent media coverage about Mexico’s customs regulations on electronic devices, which have impacted travelers arriving in the country. As trusted advisors, it’s essential to stay informed about these restrictions to help your clients avoid unexpected fees or delays at customs.

Key Regulations for Electronic Devices
Mexico permits travelers to bring one portable computer, laptop, tablet, or similar device (e.g., iPad) per person tax-free. Additional devices may incur customs duties, starting at 19% of the item's value. Travelers, especially those arriving at Cancun International Airport, have reported instances where duties on laptops and iPads exceeded the items' original value.
Limits on Other Electronics:
3 cell phones
2 cameras
1 pair of binoculars
1 GPS device
1 portable printer
1 DVD player or set of portable speakers
Bringing more than the allowed number of items may result in extra charges.

Additional Personal Items
Clients can also bring various personal belongings tax-free, such as:
Baby gear (strollers, car seats)
Sports equipment (up to 4 fishing poles)
Two musical instruments
A limited quantity of to***co and alcohol
We recommend checking with the Mexican Consulate for more detailed information on the allowed items and their limits.

You may now submit your fingerprints electronically to challenge a firearm denial or apply for the Voluntary Appeal File (VAF), at select Post Offices. The process is similar to requesting an Identity History Summary Check (IdHSC). The FBI and the U.S. Postal Service have expanded their collaboration that allows the public to submit fingerprints through biometric scans captured as participating post office locations in connection with the Fi****ms Challenge, VAF, and IdHSC requests.

To submit a request electronically:

Step 1: Go to https://www.edo.cjis.gov/ #/.

Step 2: Follow the steps for the desired request.

Step 3: If you submit a request electronically directly to the FBI, you can visit a participating U.S. Post Office location to submit your fingerprints electronically as part of your request. Additional fees apply.

If you submit a request electronically directly to the FBI, you will receive an expedited response electronically. For more information about Fi****ms Challenge, VAF, and IdHSC, please visit https://www.edo.cjis.gov/ #/.

Help your travel agent find the best cruise for you:.
Which ports are you interested about leaving from on your cruise?
How many cabins do you want to book?
How many people will be in each cabin?
Do you want inside/outside/balcony/suite/penthouse/owners suite?
Are you past guests? (why? Possible discounts for past guests)
Which cruise lines?
Is there at least one person over 55 in each cabin? (why? Possible discounts)
Any veterans or active duty? EMT or police? (Why? Discounts)
Do you have a cruise line preference?
Carnival? Princess? Norwegian? Royal Caribbean? Celebrity?
Holland America? Other.. ___________________________

When you decide to book, I will need birth dates and LEGAL names of everyone traveling.

**** No nicknames allowed. I will also need your address, phone and email.

Please - Actually LOOK at your passport to make sure the name matches your license and that it will NOT expire within 6 months of your travel date - DON'T GUESS. Name difference can cause you NOT to be allowed to travel or hundreds of dollars to get it corrected so that you can board your ship.

I recommend having passports which can NOT expire within 6 months of sailing (before or after). As long as you are leaving and returning to a US port, then a certified birth certificate (raised seal or security paper) will be fine. It cannot be a xerox copy. You will each need a photo id. Underage children can get an id from the DPS. Make sure ID's wont expire while traveling.

Make sure your Credit Cards will not expire during your travel.

The new program requires an online application and a minor fee, and is required for all travelers regardless of their age.

⚠️PSA from your favorite Travel Specialist

📌If you know you want to travel this summer or even later in 2023 start planning like, yesterday. 😉

📌Pricing is up…everywhere. Including all things travel. What you could get for 3k a few years ago is not available now, think double.... yes, double and sometimes even higher. And, I’m sorry but I don’t have access to some secret vault with bargain prices on airfare. 🙃

📌”Deals” are harder and harder to come by. So gambling time to see if the price comes down may leave you with less than ideal options (and/or) increased pricing. Many resorts and cruise ships are booked solid, sold out, thus no need to offer "deals".

📌Availability is already low for summer travel. NO this is not a scare tactic- it’s honest and based on my research for current client requests.

📌This is busy season for our industry - and it's even busier since we've come out of the pandemic - so patience on our replies is SO appreciated!

I’m so excited for all the vacations already booked, and all the new and repeat clients I’ll get to send on their dream trips this year! ✈️
