Need to know from City of Cannon Beach

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

TRAFFIC FLOW INTERUPTIONS:
Monday, March 10th the City of Cannon Beach will have the following areas restricted to vehicle and pedestrian traffic while crews are working to replace the COWS early warning system horns on the poles at the following two locations. Details are noted on the map included with this post, and hours are as follows:
W. First Ave to N. Larch St. - 8:00am-Noon
W. Washington at Ocean Ave. - 10:00am-2:00pm
All homeowners in this immediate area have been contacted.

Any changes to this information will be updated on this post as needed. We thank you for your patience while crews perform this critical work.

The Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest poster has been unveiled!

Congratulations to Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce Artist of the Year Greg Scott of House of Orange for this fantastic piece! We are excited to see the poster version. Stay tuned for updates on when they will be available.

Last night at the annual Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce Membership Awards, we unveiled the 61st Annual Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest artwork!

The artwork has been crafted by local artist Greg Scott of House of Orange. The original painting is available for purchase through the gallery, and the artist is keeping the banner on the painting available to customize it for purchasers.

The 61st annual Sandcastle Contest details will be on the banner on the posters, and in the coming weeks, we will announce when the posters will be available for purchase.

The Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce Greg Scott of House of Orange as the 2025 Chamber of Commerce Artist of the Year!

Greg will be creating our iconic Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest and Cannon Beach Stormy Weather Arts Festival posters! The Chamber of Commerce traditionally unveils the Sandcastle Contest artwork at the Annual Membership Awards, which are being held next Thursday evening, February 20th.

Our 2025 season opens with THE MYSTERY OF MARIE ROGET this Friday, 2/7!!!, This thrilling mystery is based on an Edgar Allan Poe murder mystery and written by Astoria native Michael Alderman.

THE MYSTERY OF MARIE ROGET opens this Friday, February 7 and runs weekends through Saturday, March 1. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. with two 3:00 p.m. matinees Sunday, February, February 16 and February 23. The Pay What You Will performance will be Thursday, February 27. Cannon Beach History Center and Museum closed today -

For the safety of our staff and volunteers, the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum will be closed today, February 5th, due to inclement weather. We plan to reopen tomorrow, February 6th, weather permitting.
