Facts in discontinuing Facebook; critical that you go to the ? mark, upper right hand of each home screen, type in how to delete account, click on permanently delete and use the "save your data" link, select same, create desktop folder and save data for each Facebook account. Why, knowing what they have stored is important for you to know and if there is a future civil lawsuit you can prove what you offered and it can be used to define how it was used. #2, it takes 90 days for deletion, which means they have that time to market your information (be assured they will do same, it is one of their last times to make $ off of your data. #3, the time consuming part, deletion of associated applications on your computer/s, tablet/s, phones; everyone is different, you will need to identify all potential apps which can be back doors to your Facebook profiles, data, my guess, they will always keep your data and other apps can request same. The deeper you dig into Facebook the more you will realize the depth and deception, which has been sold as social media and those outside Facebook will continue to use your past data, be cautious in online messages which are emotional, influential or political, odds are they are from Facebook selling your private information. Ending Facebook. We are convinced timing is right to end our Facebook, Linked In and Twitter accounts. Obviously disconnecting and removing applications is a time consuming exercise, please be patient with us. Rationale: the ongoing awareness that our business and personal privacy is being utilized for greed, control, political reasons, was never the intent in the social media beginnings, they have morphed into traditional American capitalism models. The reality these mediums have almost no controls within the social media platforms, that they are showing they are not trust worthy, which equals timing being right to make these decisions at this time. Sad, but reality in once again American businesses ruining another industry, as they have done with the financial world, in the past.

"If you build it, they will come," the famous line in the Field of Dreams movie. We thought of that message, over a decade ago, as we opened the door to the Tea House; with no real advertising, marketing funds. The same promise surfaced this week as we realized history repeats itself and there is nothing we can do but be prepared to serve at the highest level we can. The Queen Anne has survived on word of mouth advertising, one on one, creating and creating a loyal customer base, we will keep the home fires burning, stay in prayer and listen when we hear from our customers. Tribute to Annie, our seventeen year old poodle. While we were in the middle of re-opening the Queen Anne, 2/7/18, the time came to allow Annie to transition. She came with us, + sixteen years ago as we began the journey to renovate, open, the Tea House, she was mommy's girl and loved to be held sitting up in mom's arms. For any of you who have had a fine dining dinner at the Queen Anne, she was one of the voices you heard as you left, she loved to participate with her brother Cody 'Man and was always ready to see if there were any steak left overs. Loosing animals is a huge adjustment and pain, as they are unconditional love, thank you Ms. Annie for being a part of our lives, "we love you."

Grand Re-Opening just a few days away, facility updated, being cleaned early next week, staff trained last night, food ordered for Valentine's week and we are ready to begin a new adventure. Reflections going into the last three days of the Tea House: Honor in being able to serve others, whether it be a milestone, anniversary, birthday, special event or just a serene time together. Opening the door for a decade has continued to prove there is decency in the majority of those in the world. Continuing to reflect on the emotions in the closing of the Tea House and the opening of the Prime Rib House began, early this morning, with my dear wife, comfort food chef Linda coming into my office and giving me a hug, choking up as I ask her if it was getting hard to accept, which she said yes. As she has done for almost fifty years with our relationship, she has been the faith warrior and always "in," to make sure things go well. Thank you, my life partner, for accepting those times when others treated you with less than respect, due to their selfishness; thank you for showing hospitality, love to all who have came through the front door. You and God are the reason the Tea House has been successful and it shows in how customers have returned, time after time. Off to new adventures in 2018. My Love, The Laborer

Continuing our appreciation, sharing our memories, as the Tea House finishes a decade and the Prime Rib House begins to unfold what it is going to become. 12/7/2007, picture, was a exciting day, grand opening of the Tea House, after over five years in renewing this old 1889 Queen Anne facility. Would the customers come, would the customers be receptive to a Reservations Necessary "Fine Dining" experience? 12/7/17 was a reflection that customers have seen the Tea House as memories and refuge, especially in the past two years, as turmoil, anger, unrest and indecency permeates daily life, thank you God. How do we handle the emotions in closing one business model and opening another one? How are we to share the importance in the relationships that have been built over the past decade, with those who have supported us? We believe it starts with us being honest in acknowledging it has never been about either of us, it has been our election to see this as a "faith walk," in serving others. The decade was a period where we learned listening to others, from all over the world, is more important than any narrow mind; that respect for "decency" the most important lesson in relationships.
