➡️"During free fishing days, the fishing license requirement is waived for freshwater fishing on New York’s waters. The Free Fishing Days program began in 1991 to give people who might not fish a chance to try the rewarding sport of freshwater fishing at no cost, introduce people to a new hobby and encourage people to support conservation by purchasing a New York State fishing license." Last week, our Director of Tourism, Tif Amo, and our Communications Specialist, Katie Berry had the opportunity to showcase St. Lawrence County to over 1,500 people at the Saratoga Race Track for the annual "Adirondack Day", Taste of NY event! 💚

Whalen Park, located in Massena, NY is a 3.2 mile (round trip) trail great for hiking, walking, running, and biking! The Maple City Trail, located in Ogdensburg, NY is a 2.4 mile long trail, allowing you to loop back around, or walk into the city. Its Trail Tuesday! Crooked Creek Preserve is the perfect area for a serene paddle in the creek, or a walk on the 3 mile long Macsherry Trail. The preserve is the largest Class 1 wetland in the area at 2,100 acres, and is home to numerous species.
