Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter- POFQ
It's Mardi Gras Month and there's no better way to celebrate than to give you all the info about this incredible Mardi Gras Inspired resort! 💜💚💛🎉🎷
Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ) is a small, quaint beautiful resort! It’s actually the smallest on property, which makes everything close by which is perfect after long days at the parks! This moderate resort will transport you right down to NOLA with the wrought iron balconies and antique style gas lamps, the details are beautiful! Get the BEST beignets at S**t Cats Club and at night listen to a little jazz while sipping on a hurricane. The pool is perfect for little ones with a dragon water slide and a separate play area for those under 48” and a separate spa area for the adults away from the pool area. It is also walking distance to Port Orleans Riverside (PORS) which has several restaurants and another pool to enjoy! POFQ rooms were just updated this past year with touches of Tiana. It i’s becoming a very popular resort, as people are starting to discover this hidden gem’s perfect charm.

Why I Love it: 🎭🎷💜
This is one of my favorite resorts! I love the fun NOLA Mardi Gras theming and it’s perfect for little ones with the extra water play area! I love that it has PORS sister resort so close to share amenities like dining and pools! You can get the benefits of both! The recent update makes it clean and beautiful! I love how close everything is, especially after being at the parks all day! You can’t go wrong in any of the 7 buildings! This truly is a remarkable resort!

-Building Number 3 is closest to main building with QS and buses
-Building number 5 for a pool view

🚨A Bug's Life Closing Date🚨

Over in Animal Kingdom this attraction inside the Tree of Life is set to close on March 17, 2025! This show is cute, but it gives me the 🐛wiggles for a while afterwards! And all the jokes 🤣 It will be rethemed as a Zootopia with an opening in the winter of 2025.

📬The Post Office at Castaway Cay📬

Did you know that you can send mail from Castaway Cay Post Office? We've bought post cards and mailed them to family and ourselves for a fun souvenir when we get home with a postmark for a fun memory.

There are character meet and greats at the post office, just check the Navigators for times and see who will be there!

🎸There's no official date announced yet for the change over, but I bet it's not to far off since the announcement of the closures over on Grand Ave.🎸

I vividly remember riding this as a kid. I am not a roller coaster fan and it's in the dark! However, if it's open when I'm there, I'll go again for old times sake🙃

Do you have your trip booked to see the final showings of the Muppet*Vision 3D?

The last day to see Muppet*Vision 3D or dine at PizzeRizzo will be June 7, 2025. Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano will be closing it's doors on May 10, 2025.
The Muppets area in Grand Ave is being rethemed as a Monsters, Inc. Land and the Muppets will be heading over to an updated version of the Rock'n'Roller Coaster.

When visiting Castaway Cay be sure to hop on the tram! Kargo Handling Tram Stop near Marge's Barge is closest to the ship and can drop you off at Scuttles Cove, near the family beach, Pelican Point close to bike rentals or transfer to a tram for Serenity Bay, the adults only area. It operates all day and is very convenient option for getting around the island in Bahamian Time!
