The third floor has a bedroom with a spectacular view of the water. perfect for children with two twin beds, a pullout twin couch and an air hockey table. The beach is steps away from the large wrap around porch and the most spectacular sunsets will not disappoint. Most amazing sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay in beautiful Cape Charles. Sit on the upper deck or on the lower patio and watch the sunset. I enjoy riding my golf cart to the corner where everyone meets up for sunset and we always meet new friends.

We are ready! Exactly 5 years ago, we opened on June 28, 2018 and now we are ready to re-open right on June 28, 2022. We will be at the beach, parked on Bay Ave. from 11am to 8pm-ish. I’m so so excited!

Seashell Cottage is truly my happy place. The moment I step through the front door I feel a sense of calm and get a happy feeling. We love exploring all the shops and dining in town but we mostly appreciate having our family and friends here with us to enjoy all the wonderful moments that make lasting memories. My favorite time to sit out on the upper deck is at night. It is so peaceful to watch the boats pass. If you are lucky, during the day you may see dolphins frolicking in the Bay. It is a fun time gathering out on the porch and chatting about little things yet when we are alone we enjoy the quietness and watch the golf carts go by. Cape Charles has so much to offer. Primarily it was the beach that lured us here. The calmness of the waves gives us a sense of tranquility. I love riding my golf cart and waving at the friendly people out on their porch. John and I hope that our vacationing guest enjoy our beach home as much as we do. Making memories is so important and this is our most favorite place to do it. We hope you will visit soon. Seashell Cottage is a great place for family and friends to meet up not only for the traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays but Fall is a great time of year to unite family together for a long weekend or a fun get-away for a friend's retreat. Our kitchen is stocked with oils, spices and all the tools you'll need for cooking a great meal together.

We really are not your average beach town…. While most summer destinations are shutting down for the season, we are reving up for Festive Fridays, New Years Eve, etc. you’ll find something here for you all year long. So proud of Cape Charles and its ongoing recognition. Still a small quiet beach town. Don't let them kid you, "Main Street" has beautiful boutiques and eateries but the "BEACH" will always be the lure. This beautiful beach with the calming water of the Bay is ideal for families, young and old and all in between. Come see what the hype is for yourself. Seashell Cottage is perfect for a group or family gathering in the fall.

Our family made more memories over the past two weeks at our happy place. While the weather did not cooperate for the beach, jet ski's or sunshine half the time, just sharing time together was epic and memorable. The kids enjoyed their room on the 3rd floor playing air hockey and private time from the adults. We played board games, had good hard belly laughs with stories of days gone by and we cooked together some of our favorite recipes and celebrated our son's birthday with a tiramisu cake from Coastal Bakery. It will be hard to leave on Saturday but we hope our summer guest enjoy Seashell Cottage as much as we did. Every year we add improvements. This year we have new porch furniture and a new patio picnic table along with several small decorative additions such as a new rug for the dining room and a new Welcome Board at the front door,, 12 new wine glasses new mugs and stocked with spices and coffee. Welcome to all the special pleasures that we ourselves enjoy. Happy summertime at Seashell Cottage!
