I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home and the owners. The home is exactly as shown in listing and includes everything needed for a relaxing vacation. Salt water pool, lanai, dock for evening fishing, grill, plenty of outdoor furniture for enjoying the day. If you want to head to the beach(we enjoyed Sanibel Island and Siesta Key) there are plenty of toys, beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella and even a wagon to tow it all to the beach in. Don’t even get me started on the kitchen! It’s rare to rent a home that is actually stocked with everything you could possibly need. I could cook meals and didn’t have to improvise. If you are on the fence about renting for the Schells, don’t hesitate. They were great communicators and very kind humans!! We cannot wait to head back next summer!!

WOW WHAT A REVIEW FOR COZY CAPE COTTAGE: Thank You!!

I have rented from Stu and Cathy twice before. I've been to the FMB and Cape Coral area six times previously so I'm very familiar with the area. I took this vacation alone to have some quiet before my son enters his junior year of high school and our lives revolve around school work deadlines and events. It was perfect. Cathy always ensures the homes have everything you could possibly need. Everything is comfortable. Lots of space. I usually get eaten alive by whatever bugs are available to bite me, so I appreciate the screened in pool. Every day I got up and exercised while listening to podcasts. Then I'd jump in the pool. Spent hours reading outside before it got too hot. Then I'd get cleaned up for what would be a late lunch and nap during the warmest part of the day. More fresh air time sitting by the canal as the water is soothing for the soul! One of the things that I love about Stu and Cathy's rentals is that they do not have a million rules as some rentals do. I've been in rentals where I am to wash the sheets before I leave! That's insane--and they don't make you do that. You don't need to waste luggage space with towels and sheets; everything is provided, even in the kitchen. I love how they have all of the appliances, even though I only use the keurig. LOL Tons of great restaurants in a 20 mile radius. I have my faves at this point. Wonderful ice cream places. I've hit them all at this point--you can't go wrong with any of them. I highly encourage families, friends, and individuals to rent from Stu and Cathy. They are absolute gems to work with and you won't be disappointed in the homes

I am checking in, because so many people have asked. First of all, thank you for caring! It means the world to us. Tropical Storm Debby was not a problem for our houses. This was a rain event, not a wind event. Our homes are up high and are generally fairly good with rain, high wind, driving rain and waves from the lake are different issues for us. So many were effected, especially in low lying areas.

Yes, Stu and I loaded up the truck Friday morning, jumped in and drove south. I have discovered a great app that so far has kept us informed. It was hard to tell at that point, messages were mixed, it would become a Hurricane most likely, but where and when. How far into the gulf would it go, how close to land?

We drove 9 hours after packing and closing down our house in Ohio. After stopping for the night, checking our app and making the best decision possible, we decided to turn around and go back to Ohio, the next morning.

We were slated to watch our 2 little grandsons starting today for 4 days. If we dove all the way down, that option was off the table. You see today they are remembering the death of their firstborn son, Asher, who passed after a long battle and 12 major surgeries. Going away to celebrate his life as well as their marriage. So much of their life is work and caring for these two rambunctious boys. Time to reflect, remember and celebrate, we wanted to give them that gift.

It was a tough decision, could our team handle the additional work? How bad was it? They were awesome, everything is back to normal. Debby stayed far enough out in the gulf to keep things manageable, grandsons arrive today, their parents take off to celebrate their 10 year anniversary in a Yurt in Utah.

Stu and I are grateful that this time we appear to have made the right decision. Hard to balance work, life and family sometimes.

To keep everyone up to date, these large financial companies, are now putting their investors money into real estate, not stocks as before. These companies are our competitors in the rental business. This is why home prices stay high, these companies are why people can no longer afford to purchase homes. False information has been circulating that small time investors like Stu and I are the problem. Trust me, these are the people calling you…wanting to buy your house and your neighbors house. Just keeping it real!!

We are doing a thing….last week and this week. We are staying in The Nest for a month. The other houses are rented to amazing families. We went to Florida for 11 days with family. We are watching our grandsons every Wednesday, therefore we could not stay away for too long. While we are here, it was a good time to move the ball forward in this game we call Vacation Rentals. The Nest is getting a second bedroom😱🥰. Next electric, drywall and then painting. It will have an egress window, closet and a door, it’s official.

The bathroom of The Nest has a new wall where an extra bathroom door used to be🚪
Stu used the old fence boards to create this wall. Superman and Batman stopped by for a bath last Wednesday, they forgot their
capes. Hoping they return this Wednesday.

The Guest house has a new roof over the new pergola. It creates some shade, but light and stops the rain. Mainly it just looks really, really cool!!😎🕶️

Schell-Topia 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, on beautiful Lake Kennedy, Cape Coral FL. I just love how these photos came out. They make me want to reserve another family gathering!! We have two more homes…just around the corner from Schell-Topia, they are Sunset Cottage and Mermaid Cove!! Check out all of our homes. Yes, all of those special decorating touches were painted, sanded, found or purchased by me. Stu has an incredible eye as well as the muscle.

This is my second stay with Cathy and Stu and once again they did not disappoint!! If you want a Clean and Beautiful home, make SURE to book with them. Exactly like the pictures. Pool and Hot tub was Magnificent!! Very nice neighborhood. Felt safe. Water pressure is great! The kitchen is well stocked, from pans to blender to a lemonade jug. Big TVs. The bathroom whirlpool bath tub is fantastic as well! No hidden fees nor no extra charges for power. They are the GOAT for rentals in Cape Coral. The only problem I had was I had to leave and go back to reality!!
