From our family to your family

Merry Christmas from our Merry Crewsmas party!

So much to be thankful for- 2024 was a true gift, from all the marine life to some good weather, particularly in the fall, and so many wonderful patrons, 2024 was amazing.

This year would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of this amazing crew! The crew never comes down to one person, but rather the abilities of all the members of the crew and how they work together. This crew performed admirably trip after trip.

We look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Captain Jeff

Tough conditions did yield interesting sightings for our Monday trip. Massive amounts of fish have moved in offshore. We saw many scenes of Northern Gannets crashing the surface, while Striped Bass chowed down on Menhaden.

We found an elusive 25ft Minke Whale 🐋!

We are cruising Saturday and Sunday and we look forward to seeing you aboard. The sightings are here Year Round.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽 🙏 🇺🇸

We have so much to be thankful for!
We are thankful for our beautiful and bountiful ocean and all the creatures in it! Thankful for whales, dolphins, birds. We are thankful for light winds, calm seas and clear skies.

We are thankful for our family who stick together through good times and tough times.

We are thankful for our amazing, dedicated hardworking crew. Without the crew the ship and the trip would never be possible.

We are most thankful for all of you! Our patrons, our fans, our people that come back year after year, trip after trip and make our 32 years of business into amazing memories!

Thank you!

Lunge feed after lunge feed, and again and again! The Energizer Whale kept going and going! This whale fed like this for the entire trip, and one of our season pass holders visited the beach front after the trip and reported the whale was still feeding!

It is hard to believe the amount of energy the whales use to eat this way. It is even more difficult to grasp how many fish must be there for a group of four whales to keep doing this for hours on end!

We are cruising Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

We had four very active Humpback whales today off of Wildwood Crest and Cape May, NJ. One in particular was a stand out with over 100 lunge feeds from the time we found the whale around 1:30 to the time we went back (even tho we did not spend the entire time with that individual whale we did observe it from a distance while visiting the other three whales and dolphins and a grey seal 🦭 ) in at 3:30 PM!

It was an absolutely stunning trip!
We are cruising on Weekends Friday to Sunday at 1:00 PM.

All photos and video were obtained adhering to Whale SENSE and the Atlantic Region Guidelines for Whale Watching. These photos were taken with 500 mm lens and highly cropped.
Always remember to keep your distance greater than 100 yards, especially when the whales are feeding like these photos- the activity is unpredictable and the risk of collision could be catastrophic to a small boat and of course to the whale- which is protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.

11/23/2024

We returned to an individual whale which was the most active of four off of Wildwood Crest. Remember- 30 minutes is the maximum time you spend with any one whale and then move on. We always abide by Whale SENSE.

Virtual Whale Watch off of Wildwood Crest with up to four Humpback whales doing a variety of surface activities, including lunge feeding.

We are cruising on Weekends, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. CapeMayWhaleWatcher.com

All photos and video are obtained adhering to Whale SENSE and the Atlantic Region Guidelines for Whale Watching. At anytime when the whales come close we are out of gear and the whales are approaching us. Always remember to keep your distance because this level of activity can be very unpredictable.
