After having yet another roof leak and repairs, and after damage to our curtains, and our indoor paint job, we are having a lot of repainting…… hanging up curtains……. Spring refresh.
Always something to repair or replace or repaint.
We do our best to keep things in good shape, but between three vacation properties, there’s always something needing some attention .

The old train tracks that crossed the canal is what the revolution rail uses for their pedal carts. It stops at the canal because the railroad track bridge is open permanently for boats. History is that when people begin to have their own cars it wasn’t very necessary to have a train down to Cape May…… but glad they put those tracks to good and fun use.

This was something we’ve been talking about doing for a few years, but just never got around to it . When we come down, we’re always busy meeting contractors or working on the houses. But this time we snuck out for a morning appointment and it was so much fun. I’m going to post some other pictures in separate post, but this is the first one. The Cape May Trolly is an integral part of our community. When you are in an historic town, it’s only fair that there will be historic trolley tours, so you can learn about the deep and rich history of beautiful Cape May.
Just like the horse and buggy rides, you can take a trolley ride right down the impressive Columbia Avenue …… and wave at the John F Craig house when there are people on the porch.

Nazare beach in Portugal is known for having the highest waves in the world with its peak height in December. We got to see those waves crash and the huge mist they created on our trip.

I was at our vacation rental house on Sunday– the Lorelei on Perry Street and I remembered that I needed a baby present for my friend’s new grandson who I am going to meet this week. I love that I am right across the street from a wonderful baby store – high style and the most adorable trendy selection. @happybabyboutique_
It’s literally less than a one minute walk but, although I think it’s going to be a quick in and out, ( I have no little kids or grandkids of my own as my kids are adults now 😞), I could spend hours in that store!
