🧜🏿‍♀️MY BEACH SHACK🌊

Good morning,

As many of you are aware, Hurricane Helene has severely impacted the Indian Shores area. I was finally able to access our condo, and while we experienced minor interior damage, the resort as a whole won’t be ready to host guests for several months.

Please cancel your reservation online or by contacting Airbnb for a full refund.

In the meantime, my cousin has a beautiful condo available in St. Augustine. It sleeps 6, is just a 3-minute walk to the beach, and a quick 15-minute drive to downtown. This condo is on the East coast and was not affected at all.

If you already have flights into Tampa, the drive to St. Augustine is about two hours. Alternatively, you can change your flight to Jacksonville, which is only 30 minutes from her condo. Here’s the link to her listing.

I have no doubt that Indian Shores and the surrounding beach towns will come back stronger than ever. The community’s resilience is inspiring, and it’s heartwarming to see everyone working together with a shared goal.

We’re incredibly thankful that we only had a couple of inches of water come in! Aaron did a great job sealing the doors, and the only issue was a bit of tape coming loose on the back door.We spoke with someone from the HOA who mentioned we were the only first-floor unit that didn’t get over a foot of water—just a couple of inches for us.Tomorrow, we’ll focus on getting everything dried up and go from there. All things considered, we’re feeling pretty fortunate!

These are the first pictures we have received from My Sea Shack & My Beach Shack. The barrier islands for Indian Shores remain closed off for owners, and we hope to get there tomorrow to assess the damage.

Both of these areas have been impacted, but Indian Shores has taken an unimaginable hit, leaving that property out of commission until further notice. As for My Sea Shack, we are still waiting to hear more about the island as a whole. Despite the challenges, we are grateful to report that our property is holding up well there.

As always, both areas are incredibly resilient, and there’s no doubt that these beautiful slices of heaven will come back better and stronger than ever. It will take time, but when disaster strikes, the community always comes together to overcome the obstacles that come their way!

Snowmass/Aspen is often seen as a winter destination, but summer is my favorite time to visit! We just spent two weeks in one of the most beautiful regions of the Rockies, and there is so much to do.

**Tuesday - Sunset Tuesdays at Elk Camp:** End your extra hours in the bike park with live music and food specials at Elk Camp! Ride up the gondola for free or buy tickets for the whole family to enjoy thrills in the Lost Forest.

**Wednesday nights - Snowmass Rodeo:** Celebrating 50 years with 10 rodeos this summer! Every Wednesday night from June 19 through August 21, 2024, come rain or shine.
- 5 PM: BBQ
- 7 PM: Rodeo
Join us for a spectacular 50th anniversary season with a special feature each week!

**Thursday - Snowmass Free Concert Series:** This summer, join us in celebrating 32 years of this local favorite.
