Pivot moment — fire on Main Salmon cancelled our retreat launch — it’s a reality I’m always aware of, as the first retreat organized in 2018 was cancelled due to fire in OR. Our sweet outfitter offers insurance and all women will receive a refund or opportunity to go next year. A group of us kept the momentum and hiked from Aspen to Crested Butte and enjoyed a sweet cocktail float at home — satiating the space, bonding and play desire that Downriver Divas retreats provide. I know fires have been a threat in river corridors for a long time — they just seem more pronounced — wind events seem to be creating unforeseen spreads and it really feels like a strong message from Mother Nature. Love and light to those who’ve lost structures on the MS — and as my heroine Jane Goodall said, “Here we are, arguably the most intelligent being that’s ever walked planet Earth, with this extraordinary brain, yet we’re destroying the only home we have.” - let’s keep seeking solutions and listening. 🌎🌊🫶

So often though, women have learned to suppress these authentic desires and retreat into our comfort zones. We have somehow bought into the misbelief that being a woman equals sacrifice. Downriver Divas challenges this misbelief and provides the opportunity to live into the awareness that you are a wild goddess!

Multi-day rafting excursions present a rare opportunity to sink into a sensory-rich world, free of distraction or interruption.
