Hi, TimeKeepers. I just wanted to give a small update, I am currently working on recovering from an injury and do not have any tours planned for the upcoming season. I'm so sorry to those of you who were looking forward to a tour.

Hi TimeKeepers! I am sorry to say that out of an abundance of caution due to the winter weather advisories for this evening tonight's Christmas Ghost Tour has been cancelled. With wind chills expected at 20 below zero and a frostbite risk on exposed skin in 30 mins I think we'd all have a safer and happier evening staying inside. There is another Christmas Ghost Tour next Friday evening and hopefully Father Winter will be friendlier! If you booked for tonight you should have received an email from me! Cheers!

This is it! The last night for the After Dark Graveyard Tour. Join me tonight at 9pm as we walk through the shadowed stones of the old graveyard. Hear tales of those who are buried, legends and lore associated with graveyards, and the meaning behind the iconography on the stones. Afterwards, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company has generously offered to open up their original taproom directly beside the cemetery for a complimentary Reluctant Pumpkin Brew! www.timekeepertours.com/book-online

There are still a few spaces for the After Dark Graveyard Tour. This is the ONLY tour of Carlisle’s Old Graveyard in the dark and this is the LAST CHANCE until next year! Saturday at 9pm. Don’t forget! Molly Pitcher Brewing Company is opening up their original taproom on South St exclusively for this tour. 👻🍻

This weekend was packed full of tours and I am beat! The highlight, however, was definitely getting to hang out at Molly Pitcher Brewing Company's South St location with Cassie! After the graveyard tour we enjoyed some Reluctant Pumpkin brew at their original taproom and got a tour of their brewery.

If you're interested in hanging out at their original taproom and having some Reluctant Pumpkin, join me this Saturday for the After Dark Graveyard Tour at 9pm. Last chance this season!

It's a gorgeous autumn day in town! Join me for a stroll this afternoon on the leaf littered sidewalks and enjoy some outlandish historical tales. See if you can tell when I'm lying to you about lemons, hot air balloons, insane asylums, and more! Challenge some friends and family for bragging rights. I bet I'll trick you!
The Facts and Fables Tour still has space at 5:00pm, and it's a great day for this fa favorite tour.

Don't forget that Molly Pitcher Brewing Company is adding some Halloween cheer after the graveyard tours for the 21 and older guests. Finally if spooky isn't your thing there is a Facts and Fables Tour tomorrow at 5:00pm which is a lot of laughs!

Destination Carlisle's Halloweekend is a wrap! I had such a blast working on this event with Stephanie at Georgie Lou's Retro Candy. Hopefully you had a chance to get out and snap a pic at our photo spots and shop some specials at downtown businesses. My favorite part is the Pumpkin Path and this year's was amazing! Our biggest yet with 96 pumpkins!! Oh my gosh! At the end of the weekend, I collect the pumpkins from our photo spots and bring them down to Bosler Memorial Library with the pumpkins created by all of you for one grand photo to celebrate! This year we had so many pumpkins it took 3 hours to collect, arrange, light, and photograph them! Thanks everyone who carved a pumpkin and dropped it off, next year we will break 100 for sure! A special thanks to Carwood Farm who donates pumpkins to our group, Destination Carlisle, to fill in the path!

Have you been out to see my talking pumpkins? Singing songs, telling jokes and stories next to the Dennis Marion Building downtown.

Getting ready to carve a patch worth of pumpkins for Destination Carlisle's Halloweekend. I can't wait to see what everyone else brings to the path this weekend! Don't forget you can drop off yours tomorrow at the Bosler Library steps between 6-8pm. Have a little carving party and make this year's path the biggest yet!

I'm very excited to announce Molly Pitcher Brewing Company is adding some extra Halloween fun to the After Dark Graveyard Tour for the last two weekends (10/22 and 10/29) by offering a sampling of their Reluctant Pumpkin brew at their taproom beside the graveyard after the tour. While the tour is still open to all ages, this after tour bonus is only available to guests over 21 years of age. ID will be required.

Years ago when we started Destination Carlisle's Halloweekend I immediately wanted a huge Jack o lantern display (like this one.) Covid came along and ruined the momentum we were building for the event but we can still make this happen! Our town population is almost 19,000, if we all carve one pumpkin…. Whoa! 😂 Anyway! Join our community event and carve a pumpkin for Halloweekend's Pumpkin Path Drop Off, drop off is Thursday October 13th from 6-8pm on the Bosler Memorial Library steps! Can’t wait to see all your great designs.

As a follow-up, since many have asked to see the rest of the photos of the faces, here they are! I've included the original set from yesterday and two more. Also, the original post is below if you missed it!

Secrets of Carlisle Part Four:
The Faces in the Wall
I am actually really sad to be writing this one as I discovered last night that these are no more. When I moved here 14 years ago, I was almost immediately asked if I had yet seen the faces in the wall. I had not and in turn asked for an explanation. I was told that hidden amongst the stones of the old cemetery wall were mysterious faces many believed to be the souls of the departed attempting to escape the cemetery. WELL!! That got my attention! I began to hunt for these faces. It took some time since it's a large wall and I didn't know exactly where to look or what I would find. However, I did find them, and I'm not going to lie, I laughed out loud. These were clearly not tortured souls escaping imprisonment, but instead some sneaky art by cheeky masons. I've returned many times to hunt for more and eventually properly photograph them. Not all of the art was faces, there were pennies tucked in, a sun carved with a name, one that I think looks like a little UFO, among some others.
They were a charming quirk that I always enjoyed and made a point to discuss when I began offering tours of the graveyard. I've tried to discover their origins (other than being trapped souls) and have heard that when the wall, which was begun in 1806, was rebuilt in the 1950's the high school shop class worked on it and got a little creative. **New info suggests it was possibly the Dickinson art department in the 70's---yay new lead!** I have not been able to independently verify that this was the case. Perhaps you know how they got there, if so, please share below! However, all of this is to say that they are gone now. The wall had become unstable and the section that housed the faces was demolished to be rebuilt for safety. I was heartbroken to see that.

I believe I managed to photograph all the art in the wall and if you'd be interested in seeing the rest, I'd be happy to post them.
