Better late than never...here's some new/old news! I've completed all the courses and requirements of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) to be designated as an ASTA Verified Travel Advisor (VTA).

As an older newcomer in the travel industry, and after 36 years at the PA Department of Education, I wholeheartedly believe that you need to become a master in your chosen field. As a result, I've been obsessed with learning as much as I can as quickly as I can about the travel industry.

You may have noticed that I travel. (A lot. lol) I go to a LOT of travel industry events to learn as much as I can to be a better travel advisor.

And I've invested time to learn the behind the scenes stuff...the laws, the ethics, the things that set REAL travel advisors apart from the myriad of social media influencers who believe that because they can post pretty pictures and content that it makes them qualified to be a travel advisor. (Hint: It doesn't.)

So I'm rather proud of this certificate - and hope that when you are thinking about those future trips and experiences for you, your family, friends, etc., that this certificate is something that gives you confidence to reach out to me to help you with that planning. Bon Ami my Dushis!!! I've spent the last 5 days on the beautiful island of Curacao!

Located off the northern coast of Venezuela, every shade of blue exists here... from the turquoise blue waters to the island liquor, blue Curacao! This is a diving and snorkeling paradise. The people are friendly, Williamstad is picture postcard pretty with its colorful buildings and murals and the food scene is yummmm!

This is a less touristy destination (for now), but is quickly becoming a hot spot as new hotels and resorts are coming! I've stayed at the amazing Sandals Royal Curacao and Zoetry resorts but have visited a few others while here! It's FOMO Friday! Where are our BIWI clients going right now? Let's see...

T reached out to book a mother/son get away out West to see some National Parks. I was able to find a small group 7 night guided tour (there are only 7 of them on this tour) with a company who specializes in adventure travel.

They have spent the past few days hiking and exploring the best of Utah and Arizona National Parks - places like Zion, Bryce Canyon, Antelope Canyon and are heading to the Grand Canyon today! They have a great tour guide who knows the area, a bus to take them from spot to spot and have plenty of time to explore each location on their own - with everything from easy trails to more adventurous options for skilled hikers!
