Copeland Hill, located in Holden, Maine. Known for its scenic views overlooking us here the Penobscot River Valley. Copeland hill is named after the Copeland family, one of the early settlers in the area during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Holden itself was incorporated in 1852 and became a center for agriculture, logging, and later, small-scale industry.

Copeland hill has long been a popular spot for locals and visitors to capture panoramic views, especially during fall when the foliage transforms into vibrant colors. It holds historical significance as a landmark on early trade routes connecting Bangor and surrounding towns. Today, it seemed to be a peaceful retreat living uo to its natural beauty, and rich history tied to Maine's early settlement and development.

This week, our adventurous crew took on the legendary 100-Mile Wilderness, one of the most challenging and rewarding hikes in the entire Appalachian Trail system. From serene lakes to rugged mountain passes, every step of the way was a testament to the beauty and wildness of Maine.

But the journey didn’t stop there! After days of hiking through Maine's untouched wilderness, our adventurers returned to the warmth of the Maine Guide Company basecamp, where they were welcomed with fresh brick oven pizza made to perfection. A little slice of heaven after a long journey!

🍕🍂🦞 And to top it all off… the Sea to Summit Adventure culminated in a classic Maine lobster bake at a nostalgic coastal cottage in beautiful Stonington, Maine. Picture this: a warm fire, ocean breeze, and the freshest lobster you could imagine – all with breathtaking views of the rocky coastline and islands. It was the perfect way to celebrate a successful expedition, sharing stories and laughs over a feast that only Maine can offer.

From mountain peaks to the coastal waters, this trip had it all – wilderness, adventure, great food, and unforgettable memories.
