Saturday afternoon at the Webb Hay House, from one till four, live music featuring local talent and $2 draft beer.

Former Carmian Mark Doane joins Todd Lane and Todd Atteberry for a long overdue reunion of Starfire, the first band that the trio played in. They last played Corn Day circa 1977, and the performance at the Webb Hay House coincides with the Class Reunion of 1977, which is inviting alumni from other classes to stop by and visit.

If you attended Carmi High School in the seventies or early eighties, the Webb Hay House will be the place to be Saturday afternoon. If you didn't, stop by anyway and see what you missed!

Kicking Corn Days 2014 off at the Webb Hay House is Luke and the Somethings, around 6 p.m. Self described as "A band of college kids looking to have a good time and share music with everyone," Luke is a native of Carmi and a well known fixture on the local folk/roots music scene. Following Luke will be Three Sheets to the Wind, acoustic music of a nautical bent, as well as the Smokies, a new local group with soaring vocals and impeccable musical chops.

Heads up! There will be music on the patio at Corn Days ... Friday night starting around 6-6:30 we have Luke Nelson, Three Sheets to the Wind and the Smokies, going till the last dog dies. Saturday afternoon from one till four is wyenaught and Starfire, along with assorted members of the House Band stopping in. More details to come!
