We are excited to welcome LaVerne Kemp to Studio Forget Me Not for our Wednesday morning class! LaVerne’s award-winning textiles are iconic in Pittsburgh’s fiber arts community. Known for her talent and adventurous use of color, pattern, and meaning, her work has evolved from woven clothing to include jewelry, wall hangings, dolls, and more. She incorporates techniques like on- and off-loom weaving, felt making, Shibori dyeing, and beading. Her art has been exhibited nationwide, including the Smithsonian's "Craft Optimism" and "Future Vision" at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Join us in welcoming her to our studio!
