Amazing news! Today, a new early Christian mosaic of the Apostle Paul was found in Philippi. It is remarkably well preserved, and shows far more vitality than is usual in this era. In this depiction Paul appears as we know him well, but instead of the standard static view that is often presented, Paul here is in a dynamic pose. We know from his letters that meals, food, and dining were essential to the life and community of the Apostle Paul, and now we have iconographic evidence of the same. Again, an amazing find that was revealed TODAY, on this very April 1st, in Philippi! Hopefully they'll have this accessible to the public by the time our groups visit this summer.
