Stay the course! One of the worst mistakes we can make when searching for our life’s purpose is to think that we have to know exactly where we are going before we put full energy into our work, our training, or our calling. One advantage that a professional solider has regarding this (if they will use it) is that we learn right out of the gate that understanding an order is not a prerequisite for following an order. God works in the same way many times: He is our General, and sometimes God has an order for us that is leading somewhere specific, but it won’t be clear until we are further down the path. This actually gives us a chance to exercise faith and when things seem unclear, we put our head down and say, “okay Lord, I don’t know what you’ve got in mind here, but I’m trusting you and charging ahead.” In moments like that, I’ve heard that still small voice of the Spirit whisper, “Lance, your job is to stay ready…I’ll let you know when I have something for you to do.” So, at times, I just do that: stay ready. Train, study, work, do the basics of life, and be ready for the day the call becomes clear. THAT can be your mission. Have faith. Stay ready my friends. Clarity comes in time. 🦅🙏🇺🇸

Public Service Announcement (PSA): your happiness is primarily determined by YOUR attitude…and in addition, when this life is over God isn’t going to care one but how much money you made, how popular you were, how many likes and followers you have, or how many cars/boats/toys or whatever you’ve acquired. It won’t matter to Him ONE BIT. If God blesses you with money, do something good with it and leave it at that. I’ve told friends for years I wouldn’t trade places with Jeff Bezos or any other Billionaire. Not a chance. Why would I? I’m blessed with an amazing daughter, great family, gifted athletic ability that lets me still outperform guys in their 20’s at almost 50, I’ve had a wild career with opportunities to do things almost no one else gets to do, and I’ve got a beautiful, talented, and amazing girlfriend who accepts my wild dreams and ideas and jumped on the train while it was still moving at full speed. Haha. (And doesn’t mind that I sleep like a bear at times…lol). As an entrepreneur I’ve had big highs and big lows but always stayed in the fight to keep learning and growing. Don’t envy these people out there who SEEM like they have it all…if you’re walking the path God wants you to walk, then you’ve got more than any Billionaire in the world. Love hard, train hard, follow your dreams no matter how wild they seem to others, and seek people who will either do it with you or at least cheer for you when you make it. 💪🙏🇺🇸

Power wins! I’m general, when it comes to unarmed combat with striking, the warrior who can hit the hardest has the advantage. That doesn’t mean skill, defense, and creativity can beat the opponent with more power, just that they have an inherent advantage - this is why there are weight classes in the UFC and all combat sports. In Close Combat, any kind of weapon can mitigate this advantage, whether a blade, baton, or any equivalent - this is because the weapon can deliver the damage with less emphasis on strength, particularly with a blade. Anyhow, in my system I’ve been developing over the last few decades - Iron Hawk Karate - I emphasize the ability to deliver forceful strikes. This video is at the end of 5 hard rounds and I like to practice throwing bombs under fatigue to train my ability to hit hard when I’m tired. Try adding a couple mins of this at the end of your heavy bag session and see what happens! 👊🥋⚔️🇺🇸🇯🇵

Surviving Mann World Premiere coming soon! In this shot our team, Fire Team 3, were getting ready to film the final mission of the show. Over the course of the 9 days together, the whole cast grew as an overall team, but our 4-person Fire Team truly came together. All three of my teammates are amazing and very accomplished people, but beyond that all had a spirit of cooperation and desire to learn from each other that is unique amongst people who just met and are working under pressure. I’ve studied leadership and built teams of various kinds for over 30 years now and I can say that this crew was truly one of the best. Did someone call for a .50 cal? Out here filming Surviving Mann at the legendary Front Sight Fi****ms Training Center and we got to shoot one of the latest custom .50 cal sniper rifles out there. It was super smooth and machined perfectly. It was running a Sig Sauer Tango 6 optic which is one of the best on the planet in my opinion. Anyhow, we fired it off the standard bipod setup but sometimes you just have to take things by the horns and shoulder the beast. Plus, it made for a badass photo and good TV. Haha. First football game! So, I know this was just in my story yesterday, but I wanted to share some details and context about it. You see, Jade was the only girl on her team, a fact I knew would be the case. It’s a flag football league and even though she could handle tackle, it’s a cool way to focus on the real things I want her to get from it: continued development of hustle, teamwork, and being aggressive. She’s strong and fast, but can become much stronger and much faster. Even so, without hustle and learning to channel your energy into every play, you can’t play at your best. These early lessons apply for the rest of our lives, so I hope to keep ingraining them over and over. Anyhow, she almost got a touchdown as a running back and might have if she wouldn’t have hesitated, twice almost stopping because she thought they got her flag. Lesson: don’t stop just because you think you’re done, stop only when the mission is complete. Lastly for now, she really does crack me up. Before the game she says, “I’m gonna show them how fast I am and if any of those boys get in my way...POW!” Haha. I actually wanted and prayed for a girl, and I got the best one I could have ever gotten. 💪🏈💥💥

Texas Snowstorm 2021: I grew up in a small country town in Illinois called Taylorville and so lots of snow, ice, and below freezing temperatures was normal. One of my favorite memories is when my close friend and SEAL Sniper, now retired Senior Chief Johnny H., took me on an hour run through a blizzard with a -10 degree wind chill while home on Christmas leave from the Naval Academy as a test of willpower and toughness. “Strip off that F***ing shirt and let’s go” he said with a bit of disdain. I was a good runner for a bigger guy, but Johnny was one of the best runners I ever saw in the military and could do our standard 4-Mile timed run on the beach in combat boots in 22 minutes. If you don’t know...that’s fast. Anyhow, I passed his test and many that came after it and we still laugh about it from time to time. It’s always good to give yourself a reminder of how much discomfort you can handle and suck it up...the cold can do that in ways almost nothing else can. So, here I am in Dallaska getting some cold training done. When life gets tough...be tougher. Good morning my friends, I just wanted to take a quick moment to remind you all that despite all the chaos and uncertainty in the world, one thing remains unchanging and unshakable: God’s love for you. Last night after training Jade and hitting two workouts, I got ready to finally crash around midnight and did a little of my normal evening studying. As I thought on life, I remembered something my dad told me before he died: “an easy life is not to be sought, but rather a life of hardship, struggle, and victories which only come through great effort and courage against all odds...this is a great blessing, and is God’s way of showing you that His hand is upon you for great purpose.” No matter what you may be facing, it is all part of the path to prepare you for great things! So, I got my first batch of Afterburner by Jocko Fuel in yesterday and gave it a test flight. Official SITREP: I basically PR’d everything. Haha. It was solid. I loved the energy. I’m a big time caffeine ju**ie, which is basically my only vice, and I can say it worked exceptionally well throughout my lift, which by the way, was a heavy emphasis on heavy legs and heavy back work with some heavy bag at the end for endurance. That’s a lot of heavy stuff for one workout. Anyhow, go give it a shot - I can’t guarantee you’ll be able to fly an F-22, be one of the best fighter pilots on the planet, or get every good deal possible in your career like my friend , but you’ll get some damn good energy to crush a workout. Then and Now: 2005 to 2020. The photo on the left was taken 15 years ago when I was the head striking instructor for an MMA gym in Vegas. On the right is this year after a hard core garage gym workout. Today I write this with the hopes that someone out there will begin to shift their perception of what is possible as we get older. Our main limiting factor is our MIND. Quit accepting other people’s definitions of who you are and what you are capable of achieving. I’ve been hearing BS for years about “he’s not this or he’s not that” kind of thing - ignore them. Every time people say that it is originating from their own Ego and a desire to put you into the box THEY think you should fit in. Thankfully, God doesn’t see it that way. Stay the course, re-ignite your dreams, if you’ve been knocked down - get back up and start again, and most importantly...BELIEVE you can. If the Lord has called you to a specific mission, He WILL equip you to do it as long as you are willing to do the work. No limits. You have more value than you know. FREEDOM MATTERS! Today I’m posting about a topic which has made its way to Congress and EVERY American should be concerned with: Censorship. My following here is a pretty modest, but super loyal and awesome group of people who I enjoy interacting with on a daily basis. It is unquestionable that various platforms have threatened the censorship of those who refuse to “toe the line” of the mainstream media. Let’s be clear: my friends and I, and generations of soldiers before us, FOUGHT AND DIED to help ensure the freedoms of ALL Americans, no matter what your beliefs or political leanings. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights DO matter. It is the framework of our nation, a place which has been a bastion of freedom for generations. Whether Conservative or Liberal, you should be alarmed by this trend by social media moguls. The 1st Amendment Freedom of Speech is crucial for a free society. No matter what side you are on, we should join together as a strong voice against censorship! Let ALL sides be heard, no matter the side they are on. If we allow our freedoms to be trampled, then there is no end to how far it could go. You can love someone and still disagree with them. Happy Veteran’s Day to all my brothers and sisters who have served. It’s hard to explain all the sacrifices made to follow the calling to fight for our freedoms. Months and years living away from family, many times in the most austere conditions. Little sleep, spending a great amount of time freezing cold, sweltering hot, and always hungry. The smell of engine fuel permanently part of your gear, the roar of a squadron of aircraft preparing to launch, the rotor wash of the helo you and your team are about to board in the dead of night, the clouds of dust and sand which blows over you incessantly, the thousands of hours spent training, conditioning, running, swimming, lifting, shooting, and in the dojo to make sure you’re ready to fight, the joints that ache and the muscles that burn from years of pushing through the pain, and lastly, the friends lost. I told Jade that someday she will understand why I take so many pictures of her and I hanging out and spending time together. In the end, no matter how much money we make or how many people “like” our photos or followers we have, nothing can replace the opportunity God gives us to lift up the people in our lives...teach, train, guide, and protect them. Today I had a new friend comment that “I don’t really know what you do besides workout in your garage gym a lot.” Haha. That made me smile and realize I maybe should like that out for any new followers or upcoming ones. The short version: I founded a small Security Consulting firm and write books. My firm does a variety of things from High Threat Protection and Investigations to Cyber Security and General Consulting. Through a partnership with we also have the ability to help set up a client with Private Jet air travel anywhere in the world and can add a Protection Detail to any destination. We’ve successfully handled some very high level and complex investigations and our new Cyber team can do a myriad of things in that realm. As a side mission, we can also do any kind of training you can imagine and also do a very cool and fun “military experience” for people wanting some practical training in fi****ms, tactics, basic fieldcraft, and unarmed or close quarters combat. Personally, I also train a handful of students in an elite military prep course, elite strength and conditioning, or Mixed Martial Arts after having trained in every major discipline since 1986 when I started formal training at my first dojo. I’m kinda a dichotomy of two natures: easygoing, fun, and gentle on the one hand, and super intense, focused, and aggressive on the other. Swipe ➡️ to see my other side. It’s a bright and sunny day here in Texas so it seemed like a great day to get out and test my new holster from for my Sig Sauer P320 Tactical. I love this gun but it’s been a pain in the ass to find a good holster for it so I have high hopes today. My personal preference for a daily carry is a holster that is slim and easy to draw from but maintains some decent retention capabilities. This one is a simple design, all-leather, and low profile. Good basic feel. By the way, if y’all hadn’t noticed before, I’ve been wearing my dog tags ever since this Corona situation went into full swing, initially because it felt like we were living in the midst of a Stephen King novel and who the hell knew what was going to happen. Haha. But, even since things evened out here in Texas I’ve decided to continue wearing them as a good reminder that all the years of service were just a preparation for what is ahead. Keep the faith, stay vigilant, and remember that it’s easy to love those who love you already, but the deeper teaching is to learn to love all despite your differences. Train hard. No limits. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Another trip around the Sun! Feels weird turning 30. Haha. Seriously, thanks to all the family and friends who have already taken a minute to wish me HBD, love you all. My dad used to say, “the best way to honor another birthday is to continue to walk the Path.” And so, here I am, getting some training done with my sidekick Jade with me to pass along the legacy. The age of the Earth, the Gap Theory, and why it matters to your life today. One of the primary anti-Bible arguments by scientists is the idea that scripture “says the Earth is only 6,000 years old.” First off, and this is key, the Bible does NOT state that the Earth is only 6,000 years old. That number was determined by a scholar centuries ago who essentially added up the stated lifespans and events of people starting with Adam. However, this misses crucial pieces of the puzzle. Number one, in Genesis 1:1 we have the initial creation of the material universe, but in Genesis 1:2 we have recorded a catastrophic event that made the Earth “without form and void.” Something major happened...and there is no telling how long the time was between verse 1 and verse 2. Second, the “6 days of creation” is actually the “reformation of the Earth post catastrophic event.” Third, since Adam and Eve were essentially immortal until the “fall of man,” no one knows how long the time period was between their creation and that event, whereby they lost their immortal nature and the time clock started for their lifespan which is recorded (“all the days that Adam lived were 930 years and he died”). Forth, there are references to a pre-Adam civilization scattered all through the Bible. Fifth, ancient records and archeological findings worldwide show evidence of a worldwide flood, just like is recorded in Genesis. The proof of Bible accuracy can be found over and over if you search it out, so next time a “scientist” tells you that the Bible is false because “there is no way the Earth is only 6,000 years old,” remind them that it doesn’t say that...it only shows that the focus of the recorded history is around 6,000-10,000 years. So, why does this matter to you today? Because God exists, cares for you, has established universal laws of good and evil, and this knowledge will play a major factor in what path in life you walk...and your destiny is tied directly to what path you choose. There is a strength to be found in aligning with God’s plan for your life that cannot be replicated any other way. Each of us were made for a special purpose...have the courage to seek it. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

First day of 4th Grade! I’d be remiss if I didn’t take a minute to post this shot today from Jade’s first day back to school, which consequently is also her first day ever going to public school. After breakfast this morning she says, “dad, it feels so weird getting to pick an outfit for school!” Haha. Thankful for all the teachers and staff at her new school for all the hard work getting things ready to go for full in-school learning. The Origins of Life, DNA, Biogenesis, and why it matters: Part 1. Okay my friends, we are going to continue our lesson on these matters and today we must begin with a discussion of Biogenesis and Origin theories. VERY briefly, the predominant theories are broken down into “Creationism and/or Intelligent Design” and “Evolution by Natural Selection.” What you need to know is this: the truth of our origin determines EVERYTHING else. If Darwinism (Evolution) is correct, then by extension you must agree to the following, whether you like it or not...you and your life is a total accident and nothing you do matters in the end. This is not too harsh and not an overstatement. If we are merely a cosmic accident, then there is no moral authority any higher than our own selves and you die in the end and that is it. Or, is there more? How do we know? As a first step in the analysis, let’s look at the DNA molecule. It is comprised of two polynucleotide chains that coil around each other and form the famous “double helix” as discovered by scientists Francis and Crick. The information storage is made up of 4 chemical bases: Adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C), and Thymine (T). These bases pair up with each other to form “base pairs” and each base is also attached to a sugar molecule and a phosphate molecule. Human DNA consists of approximately 3 Billion bases and is clearly incredibly complex. In fact, even it’s discoverers struggled hard with the idea that DNA could develop randomly by Natural Selection. I’d encourage you all to go listen to the discussion out there on the topic by Dr. Mark Eastman - his videos entitled “So you want evidence” and “DNA: Evolution’s Death Knell” are the best out there. You must do some insane mental gymnastics to conclude that the DNA molecule could come about randomly. THIS MEANS THERE IS A MIND BEHIND OUR EXISTENCE. Scripture states that this mind is the Creator of all things and the one who gives life to all living things. This personal being also provides the basis of what is good and evil. The Way of the Sword: this brief clip is just me having fun dual wielding my training swords. Miyamoto Musashi, hero of Japan, in his classic work, “The Book of Five Rings,” attempts to transmit a lifetime of martial arts into five scrolls, reflecting on his experience in war and in dueling one on one. In his system, the true “way of the long sword” is actually to use two swords at once. For him, anything else is a deviation from the true path of fighting. But beyond that, he also speaks of martial arts as a path to enlightenment and understanding. For me, martial arts has always been both practical and a vehicle for discipline and mental strength. The best warriors I’ve served with have always dedicated some time to martial arts. In Musashi’s book, he tends to focus on principles and tactics more than “technique” per se. One of my favorites has always been his teaching in the “Fire Scroll” called “Knocking the Heart Out.” It reads, “when you fight with an adversary and appear to win by your skill in martial science...they may inwardly refuse to acknowledge defeat - knocking the heart out is for such cases.” The idea is that as long as the opponent still has intent to fight the battle is not truly over. He continues, “you can knock the heart out with your body, your weapons, or your mind...it is not to be understood in just one way.” Did you know you can apply this strategy to life? How many times have we faced challenges that seem like they just will not be beaten? In these times, we can refocus our efforts, refuse to quit, and “knock the heart out” of the obstacle before us. Aliens, UFOs, Pyramids, the Orion Constellation, Ancient Civilization, the Bible, Genetic Drift, and why it’s all connected to the current Global Crisis. Fight Conditioning, Weapon Skills, Martial Arts, and Study Time. Today started with some heavy bag and stretching and now I’m going to eat and head out to lift. Afterwards it’ll be range time: 500 rounds in my primary weapon and 500 rounds in my secondary along with basic weapon handling drills (clears, movement to contact, etc.). I’ll add a couple hours of personal studies to this as well and maybe a little writing. In the times ahead there will be two kinds of people: those who are ready, and those who wish they were. We all have a duty to learn, grow, and do more than just hangout and have fun with our friends. Our country and our world needs YOU to be part of the solution by acknowledging that training never truly ends and to answer the call to become a protector of the innocent. Be strong, be vigilant, and be ready for what is coming.
