I have loved everything Disney for as long as I can remember. My first trip to Disney was at 2 years old and I have been lucky enough to vacation there almost every year since, sometimes multiple times per year. I am a mom to a now 17 year old son and my most favorite Disney memories were made watching my little guy grow up with the mouse! We started taking him when he was only 7 months old ( you

are never too young for Disney!) and we continued to vacation at Disney as a family at least once a year. I have also been on several girls only trips to Disney with my best friend, with a few of them taking place during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, those were some fun times. As a family we have also found that we really love cruising and all-inclusive beach vacations, especially when my husband needs a break from Disney. I am a project coordinator by profession and absolutely love planning vacations, especially to Disney. I find myself getting just as excited when planning for others as I do for myself! When it comes to booking your Disney vacation, whether it's your first time or you've been there multiple times, I would love to help spread a little pixie dust and make it a truly magical and memorable one. Adventures by Disney Ireland Day 1:
We had a private tour through the EPIC Irish Emigration Museum. This was such a beautiful museum and a way to discover that what it means to be Irish!
After our visit we were treated to some coffee and pastries. It was all included!

Our Adventure has officially begun!
First up was to check in with our Adventures by Disney guides. There are two on this trip with us- Gabby and Leisha. Gabby is with Disney, and Leisha is our local to Ireland guide.
Next was our welcome dinner where we met our fellow travelers and got our fist pin of the trip. This one is exclusive to the Ireland ABD tour and has a traditional Irish welcome - “Céad Míle Fáilte” which translates to “A Hundred Thousand Welcomes” .
Dinner was accompanied by a local harpist and it was all just a great way to kick off the trip!
Tomorrow we start bright and early and will have a private visit to EPIC - The Irish Emmigration museum, then over to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for a tour and tasting, and lastly a traditional Irish Pub lunch.

The Guinness Storehouse tour is a definite must if you’re visiting Dublin! Plus you get a free pint 🍺!

Fun facts-

Arthur Guinness started brewing ales in 1759 at the St. James's Gate Brewery, Dublin. On 31 December 1759, he signed a 9,000 year lease because he was that sure of his product!
When you visit the storehouse a copy of the lease is front and center on the floor at the start of the tour.

The tour spans several floors and culminates at the top of the building with some amazing panoramic views of Dublin.

Today was our free day in Dublin before our Adventures by Disney tour starts tomorrow.
We did the most fun tour today on our own on the Vintage Bus Tea Tour. It was the cutest way to get an overview of Dublin and the food was delicious!

Highlights and fun facts from the castle tour:

The Birthing Room is a tiny bed-closet where Mary, Queen of Scots gave birth to James VI in 19 June 1566.

Mons Meg Cannon is a medieval bombard in the collection of the Royal Armouries, It has a barrel diameter of 20 inches, making it one of the largest cannons in the world by calibre.

St Margaret's Chapel, in Edinburgh Castle, is the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh, Scotland

The best though were the The Honours of Scotland, on display in the Crown Room. We weren’t allowed to take pictures inside though 😞.

These are the oldest Crown jewels in Britain. Made of gold, silver and precious gems, the priceless crown, sceptre and sword of state are objects of immense significance.

The crown was made for James V, who first wore it at the coronation of Queen Mary of Guise in 1540. Mary Queen of Scots was the first to be crowned using the new crown and sceptre together, in 1543.

The Honours have had a turbulent past. They were removed from the castle and hidden in 1651–60 to keep them from Oliver Cromwell’s army. In 1707, following the Act of Union between England and Scotland, they were locked in a chest and sealed.

In 1818, Sir Walter Scott, the famous novelist, rediscovered the Honours.

This is also a must do if you are in Scotland!

Palace of Holyroodhouse Fun Fact

This palace has over 280 rooms! That is such a big space! Just like any other property that is used by monarchs or leaders, the Holyroodhouse Palace has some sections in it that are very interesting and fascinating and which serve different purposes. The Queen’s Gallery is home to some of the most beautiful paintings around! The Queen’s Gallery was opened in 2002 and is essentially the newest area of the palace.
