The Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Office’s first Southwest Taco Fest took place on Saturday, March 30th at our tree-lined, shady Dave White Park. Despite the wind, our newest community event was a success, attracting more than 2,000 festival-goers who were ready for the Casa Grande Love It! family-friendly brand of fun, food, culture, and music. We would like to thank the community and surrounding neighbors for supporting this inaugural community event, which showcases our city as a great place to live and visit.

It took a great deal of planning, creativity, hard work, and dedication to deliver this unique festival, and would not have been possible without the amazing support from our sponsors. Find your next great outdoor adventure!

1. Hike Picacho Peak State Park (just half an hour outside of Casa Grande!)
2. Hike or bike a Casa Grande Mountain Trail. There are 17 miles of trails for you to explore no matter your skill level.
3. Soak up the sun with a relaxing golf game at the Dave White Municipal Golf Course. The Mission Royale Golf Course and Francisco Grande Golf Resort are also great options!
4. Grab a fútbol ⚽️ or a football 🏈 and enjoy a game with your family at the Dave White Municipal Park. There are also courts for volleyball, basketball, tennis, and pickleball!

Just 20 minutes away from Casa Grande is the nation’s first archaeological reserve built by Ancestral Sonoran Desert People, the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. Before it was protected in 1892, tourists would take pieces of the Ruins or carve their names into the walls.

Since 1892, the Ruins have been federally protected with the goal to preserve this piece of history. We highly recommend taking this quick drive out of Casa Grande to visit the park, watch the park movie, and take in the beautiful site of the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument.
