The Canadian Geese have returned to the pond! We haven’t seen them here at since Spring, so seeing them back is a sure sign of Fall and cooler temps on the way. All of the wildlife in and around the pond is so interesting to watch!

We were so happy to have a visit from Marian Pavel, who is traveling Route 66 all the way from Slovakia! You might recognize him as the brains behind the Route 66 Navigation app and the blue Mother Road Passport. Thanks Marian for sending so many travelers our way!

This was a very last minute idea with a very short window for submissions, but our amazing community came through and sent in some beautiful work! The Blue Whale is important to people from all over the world for so many reasons, and we love hearing those stories of why people visit our park. Today we were visited by Las Vegas author Renee Jean who is in the middle of a bicycle ride along Route 66 to benefit charities who assist those with PTSD. She was in an accident yesterday that left her with some injuries and some bicycle damage, but she is pressing on to continue her journey and today still met her goal of getting a photo in the whale’s mouth with her bike! It was an honor to meet this inspiring road warrior and we are cheering her on from here at the Blue Whale as she continues her ride to the end despite the challenges along the way! 💪💪💪🚴‍♀️
