Some progression pics, slow progress but progress. Going to be doing most of the work ourselves no GC this go around, what we cant do, we will contract out. No drywall either, going with Endura flood panels. Tis what is.

Started removing the drywall 4 feet up. I wont be putting drywall back, maybe cement board. No fun!

Cedar Key Volunteer Fire and Rescue is a paid on call / volunteer department. The department consists of a dedicated group of individuals who are committed to the protection and well being of the City of Cedar Key, it’s residents and the surrounding communities. We are responsible for providing services for a population of approximately 2000, with more than 850 commercial and residential structures, and a twenty-three hundred foot airstrip all within approximately 50 square miles. We are also responsible for automatic mutual for two smaller communities which include Rosewood and Fowlers Bluff. We respond to all types of emergencies including but not limited to fires including structure, woodland and vehicle, water rescues, vehicle accidents, aircraft mishaps and BLS first responder medical calls.

Horrific fire early this morning on Dock Street. Duncans and the Bait Shop are gone. Steamers seems to have suffered significant damage, not sure about the Island Trading Post. Cedar Key has been thru alot lately. Please pray for all those affected by this.

Some current pics of the exterior. We also switched from a charcoal grill to a gas grill. More improvements coming to the back yard when the weather is cooler. Too dang hot right now!😆

After almost exactly a year later, the Seafoam Cottage is now complete! We are excited to get listed again on the vacation rental market on starting September 4th!

Some pics of the remodel, living room/kitchen area. The kitchen has been opened up and now has a dining nook. Should be completed, furnished, decorated and ready for business in a few weeks. Cottage is looking good!

It's been a slow process on the rebuild. We needed to get a new roof before the work on the inside could be done. No sense of rebuilding the inside if the roof leaks. Now it's done, so it's full steam ahead to git'er done!
