Good Harbor Grove A Leelanau County vacation rental home located between Glen Arbor and Leland. The history of the property intrigued us. We hope you do, too.

We purchased this property in 2014 with the intention of someday retiring and living in our little bit of heaven. We hope to maintain the old store on the property while keeping it's original character. It is one of the few remaining buildings from the area known as Good Harbor village. In order to update the house and do the necessary repairs on the store, we decided to turn the house into a vaca

tion rental. We've spent many evenings enjoying the lake breezes and beautiful sunsets from our deck.

I’m very late in posting this. When we purchased this interesting home, we intended to retire here someday. Years later we made the tough decision to sell. The buyers are a wonderful couple, full of energy and passion. They will make this property beautiful! At this moment, Good Harbor Grove is not available as a rental. In the future, who knows?

Our intention has always been to retire to our Good Harbor home. But life changes and we have to roll with the changes. Our change of mind could be a wonderful opportunity for you. If it doesn’t sell, we’ll continue to rent it out in 2023.

What an honor to be on the cover of the Lost in Michigan calendar!

This old store sits in the Leelanau Peninsula near Good Harbor. At one time there was a sawmill town along the shoreline but it is all gone now. I wonder if this old store was visited by some of the lumberjacks.

Good Harbor Grove Petoskey Stone

We found this large petoskey stone partially buried on our property. We've found several stones over the last three years but none as large as this one. A few more pop up every spring.
