We are happy to say that today the Central Clemson Recreation Center is an even safer place to be! Last night we had 2 after-school care counselors, 2 front desk staff, 2 fitness instructors and 1 swim lesson instructor complete our American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid course! Great Job guys!

Come dance with Carolina Dance Collaborative at the Central Clemson Recreation Center!
This class is based on classical jazz dance technique, with influences incorporated from modern jazz, hip-hop, street jazz and Broadway styles. Our jazz/hip-hop class will build balance, extension, and strength through isolations, stretches, across the floor patterns, and dance combinations. This high energy class can be taught to anyone with a passion to move; no previous dance experience is required. No specific attire is required, comfortable clothing that allows full mobility is preferred.

A big ol' thanks to Toran from K*k Sool Won of Clemson for giving our After-School Care kids a taste of this their martial arts classes. And even more respect for someone who can single handily captivate 50 plus kids! Now that takes skill!

Dear CCRC Patrons,
We are reaching out to inform you of some upcoming temporary changes to our fitness class schedule. Due to a staff shortage, for the first two weeks of August we will be running a condensed fitness schedule. We understand the importance of these classes to your fitness routine and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please be assured that we are working diligently to ensure we do not find ourselves in this situation again. We are currently looking for fitness instructors who would be willing to fill in for classes and potentially take on a new class or two. If you know of anyone who might be a good fit, please have them reach out to Brandon Cloer at [email protected]. Please see below for the following changes:
Week of July 29th-August 3rd:
There will be no evening classes this week (4:00 PM Pilates class on Wednesday will still take place).
There will be no 8:30 am TRX/Pilates class on Wednesday the 31st.
There will be no classes on Thursday, August 1st. (With the exception of the Parks and Rec Senior Fitness Class)
There will be no Yoga on Saturday, August 3rd.
All other classes will remain the same
Week of August 5th-August 10th:
There will be no evening classes Monday-Wednesday (4:00 PM Pilates class on Wednesday will still take place).
TRX will take place on Thursday evening.
All other classes will remain the same
Week of August 12th-17th:
There will be no evening classes Monday-Wednesday (4:00 PM Pilates class on Wednesday will still take place).
TRX will take place on Thursday evening.
Feel the Beat will resume on Friday the 16th
All other classes will remain the same
The normal fitness class schedule should resume on Monday, August 19th.

Our courts will be open tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you all here to enjoy these beautifully refreshed court floors. There will still be a smell for a few days but it is decreasing. Please also keep in mind they will be more tacky (meaning your feet will stick better) now that they have been restored.

Look at that shine ✨️ The courts have just been refinished so please keep in mind that there will be a strong smell for a few days. The refinishing process will also return the courts to their original, and ideal, texture so please use caution while you adjust to the new grip. The great news is that they will be opening sooner than previously thought and will be back open on Thursday, July 25th.
