Enjoy a day in our nations capital. Celebrate the arrival of spring with the vibrant pale pink and white cherry blossoms that create a stunning backdrop to the Tidal Basin. A gift from Japan to the United States in 1912 these 3,000 trees have withstood the test of time. You will begin your day with a narrated driving tour featuring some stops at various monuments and photo opportunities along the way. Our guide will both educate and entertain you with fascinating history and insider stories about our Nation's Capital. Take time to find a name on the wall at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, walk the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, and view the WWII Memorial and Martin Luther King Memorial. As time permits, you will also drive by the Jefferson Memorial, the United States Capitol and the White House among other iconic structures. We will have a catered lunch.

Cherry Blossom Dates

With the weather, you never know how the blossoms will bloom Saturday, March 29 in the middle of the cherry blossom events. Some people have said that they were interested in doing a Sunday trip due to not being available on Saturday trips and Saturday, April 12 is towards the end of the festivities. On the trip, we will not be taking part in the actual activities, but we will be seeing different parts of the city and being able to get up close to the cherry blossoms. This is an enjoyable trip with not a lot of walking

1-interested does not get you on my roster you must comment how many seats you are interested in to be added to the roster Examples

2-once you have commented the number of seats, I will put you in a private messenger group with more details about the trip. You may need to send me a friend request. Example -

3- Deposit of 50% of total Is due within 3 days of being added to the private group message. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to trip date.

4-payment options are cash/check Venmo, and Cash app
Payment must be friend & family, not goods & services to avoid fees.
When using the apps for payment, you must include the destination/date of the trip in memo. Once you have sent payment, you must screenshot payment to the private message group.

5- No physical tickets or vouchers given. If you’re on the roster you’re on the trip.

6- All sales are final NO REFUNDS. If you are unable to make a trip it is your responsibility to resell, I usually have a wait list and will resell for you. Refunds only given if Doddies Destinations or the bus company cancels.

I just added the cherry blossom trip under the festival poll and also looking at Jim Thorpe as a trip as well. If there are any day trip or long weekend trip that you think you would be interested in please comment below. We will try our best to get more trips on the schedule this year. If someone has already commented a trip suggestion, please just hit the like button instead of 10 people posting the same trip.
