Occaneechi Village Replica Site

Located along the banks of the Eno River and inside River Park is a replica of a 17th century Occaneechi Village. The Occaneechi Tribe lived near this location 300 years ago.

Free Trolley Rides Coming to Downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro, July 22-24
Get ready to ride! The Great Raleigh Trolley trolley🚎 comes to Carrboro and Chapel Hill later this month!
A new way to experience our lively arts scene, brew pubs, eclectic shops, and university-driven energy.
Be a tourist in your own backyard. Save the dates: July 22, 23, and 24 from 1 pm to 9 pm each day. Hop on and off at designated bus stops in downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro. It's free – no tickets or reservations required.
Many downtown businesses will offer special deals and activities during those three days, as we welcome Manchester City and Celtic FC fans and locals to downtown. The July 23 soccer match at Kenan Stadium is part of the 2024 FC Series, a collection of friendly matches featuring top global soccer clubs.
The Welcome Center at 308 W. Franklin Street will also be open until 9 pm all three days!
