WERE BAAACKKK…!!!! 😁🎉⛏️🦈
2023 has been a heck of a year. One filled with fossils, fun, friends and as always adventure. However, at a certain point we made the decision to put the phones down for awhile and put more focus into our daily activities, work and passions. As this year comes to a close we thought it best to take this opportunity to share what we have been up to in our social media absence and jump back in where we left off😉. We have missed you all and appreciate everyone who reached out to us over the past months💙🧡! Nearly all of our time and energy has been spent on the expansion of our Summerville dig site and we have a ton of awesome finds to share. These are just a few fun ones to start out with from the camera roll.. More big finds and dig site updates on the way tomorrow! For now I’m getting back into my hole to dig & find some awesome treasures! ✌️

This was such a beautiful and special set of Megalodon teeth🦈! Some of the largest specimens even reached the 6 inch mark😃🙌!
Having an amazing group of friends with us to share these memories with made it all the more meaningful😊. Life is beautiful folks!

It’s easy to see why some of us love this species even more than the Megalodon☺️.. It’s even older for one thing (22-33 million years), and ones of this size are found VERY rarely!
Can’t wait to see if another one of these beauties is hiding beneath that ground!😁

Absolutely in love with this tooth!!! One of our dear friends found this monster Angustiden on a dig with us this week🤠⛏️. She had just hopped into the dirt (well mud😅) and pulled this out in the first 5-10 minutes!! Two incredible Angys over 3.5-4.0” in one night!!🦈🔥

Whether creek hunting, land digging or surface hunting, shark teeth tend to be grouped together. When you find one large, nice tooth always look or dig further around the area to see if there are any more in that patch🤠. This is especially important to keep in mind when surface hunting, as it can sometimes be easy to miss an awesome hidden tooth🤓🦷🦈.

So excited for this little guy!!!😁🎉🦈
Despite their young ages, we have been SO impressed with both of these boy’s passion, patience and most of all work ethic when it comes to hunting (especially land digging)!

As we often say, finding a large tooth or Megalodon wouldn’t be anywhere near as special if it was always easy and happened all of the time or without much effort (although that does often happen😅).

Knowing that you earned that luck and tooth is a huge part of what makes this such a special and unforgettable experience whether it is your first or 100th Meg😉. Just like with fishing, metal detecting or hunting for any type of treasures, there will be lucky days and there will be average ones. It’s all about the fun you have during the process and how much you love and enjoy being in that element💚. It’s hard to have anything but a fantastic day while surrounded by beautiful nature and fascinating fossils.🌳🍃🌞🌼

I have never left from a day of fossil hunting being anything but extremely happy regardless of what I found☺️. The act of digging, sifting and hunting itself is an extremely meditative experience - which is why so many of us love it and take to it! Practice makes perfect and patience is a virtue☮️!
The more positive of an attitude you go in with and keep up through the day, the more likely in my own experience and watching others that you will be blessed with that good fortune😇.

When you likely have 5 pairs of boots in the truck, but still walk out to hunt in your nice dress shoes because fossils..🤣🤣 It’s well worth cleaning them for the fun and this beautiful rainbow hued shark tooth😄🦈🌈! *We do not promote or recommend walking onto any prohibited construction site or private property without permission. This practice of hunting CAN be done properly and safely! Always check your surroundings for any no trespassing signs! If you see someone present or working after hours or on a weekend, don’t be afraid to walk up and ask them for permission to walk around and look for fossils. Man this was an amazing hunt and week!! Pathological Megalodon tooth found by Randolph “Hyl” Platt on one of our digs! We went home with about 30 large Megs, Angustidens and huge Makos😱. This was on one of our 3-day adventure excursions where we hunt day and night for up to 72 hours! What a day!! 1-hour quick stop by our dig site after an awesome creek excursion with this wonderful family🤠. We are trying to let others (and ourselves!) find as much as possible before we take the land down in this corner. This was the first time this small corner/area had been touched in over 6 months and I knew there was going to be a big Meg very close to the surface😉.
