I had the privilege of taking these lovely couples on a beautiful historic carriage ride. It just so happened to be each of their wedding anniversaries! None of the couples actually knew each other on the carriage, but here at Carolina Polo & Carriage Co. we are so over the moon happy to participate in celebrating their special day.

All I can say is that the City of Charleston is doing wonderfully considering Hurricane Debby was parked off our coast for 24 hours!
Our thoughts are with our neighbors in Summerville, Ridgeville and Goose Creek as they battle the flooding.
We’re happy we’re back at it!

Thank you for reaching out!
Our horses are safe, in a flood free zone. They are well cared for, but perhaps (not) enjoying their time off, and away from their work..
Their vacation does not include daily car rides, snacks, unlimited love, human companionship, massage = in the form of a bath, and grooming twice a day.
We pray Debby is not going to make a name in Charleston, and instead head out to sea….
We’d like to see you on a carriage ride- soon!

Did you Know that the horses of Charleston have special shoes made for walking downtown? They have a rubber and a metal shoe. The rubber shoe cushions their feet protects their Joints. There's a storm brewing! A big thunderstorm is heading to the city this afternoon so we'll be packing up the horses and heading home at lunch. If you want to tour with us today, come early! We are shutting down at 12:00.

It was six years ago that 6” of snow fell here in Charleston.
The cold snap had the horses off for ten straight days! Packed snow / Icy streets made it too treacherous for our four legged co-workers. Sure was beautiful!
