is about coming together by sharing the values, culture and customs that shape us. Lynette Hernandez, Sr. Finance Manager at World Electric Supply knows the power of food and music to bring people together.

She says, "Cuban culture has a strong emphasis on family values, flavorful foods, music and dancing! Growing up, at least once a week my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins would get together for meals. These get-togethers would always involve music and dancing."

Lynette's parents came to the US from Cuba in the 1960s. "I have never visited Cuba, but I would love to see where my parents grew up. I still have a few distant cousins that live in Cuba I would love to meet one day."

Interested in Cuban culture? Lynette recommends the song "La Vida Es Un Carnaval” by Celia Cruz, the Queen of Salsa. "It is a beautiful upbeat song about finding the positive in life and enjoying life to the fullest, even when things don’t go as planned."

Congratulations to Jérôme Baniol, current SVP Finance Americas, who has been appointed to the global role of Sonepar Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He will assume the role in 2025, reporting to Andros Neocleous at the Sonepar headquarters in Paris.

Jérôme will be very missed on this side of the Atlantic, but we wish him well as he returns to his home country of France for this very exciting career opportunity.

For , our associates are sharing and celebrating Latin culture. Meet Lucas Vieira of North Coast Electric Company, !

Lucas helps new associates during the hiring process and helps them get settled into their new roles at North Coast. He is from São Pedro da Aldeia, on the lake side of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Lucas says his heritage has shaped his values: "Always giving my best to everything I decide to be part of and to always help others. Not forgetting the fact that Family always comes in first place."

If you want to experience Brazilian culture, Lucas recommends watching "Central do Brasil" (in English "Central Station"). This 1998 movie was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign film. Plus, you can't go wrong with his favorite food - "a good Brazilian BBQ."
