This particular dragonfly is by local painter and printmaker, Kyle Brown. Kyle produces works that are Warhol-esque, but with more natural subjects. His colors are bold, they feature deep contrasts, and have a playful, yet sophisticated feel.

Piscataqua House features unique and local art in every room!

The pieces above the TV on the left were created by Anne Abueva, a local Charleston artist. They reflect earth tones and wide open spaces. Abueva’s experience with intuitive and expressionist artmaking, combined with over 10 years working in interior design guide her studio practice. Experimentation, playfulness and ruthless editing are all key ingredients in each piece.

The piece on the right is titled “I’ll Start This Broken Heart, I’ll Fix It Up So It Works Again”. It was created by local artist Patrick Prickett, who uses a variety of techniques and mediums for his 80’s and 90’s pop culture and pop art influenced works.
