Our Story
Our love for Charlevoix and hosting guests has led us to find five of the most beautiful cottages in Charlevoix. The Blue Cottage is situated on the north end of Charlevoix, one block from Lake Michigan, 3 blocks from Lake Charlevoix and a short 10 minute walk to Downtown Charlevoix. The Yellow Cottage is one block from Lake Michigan Beach Park, two blocks from town and directly across from the fabulous Charlevoix Library with children’s gardens and parks! The White Cottage is a large family’s dream; room for 16 with a huge backyard, a block from downtown. Across the street from the White is #301, another huge white cottage with a wrap around porch that you can spend all day on. Our latest treasure is a Mushroom House that Earl Young designed for his own family to live in for 30 years. It’s a piece of Charlevoix history and a work of art. The cottages are our family's favorite place to be. We hope you fall in love with them as much as we have. Charlevoix’s motto is “Charlevoix the Beautiful” and we agree. It is a special place that will call you back.
We chose Charlevoix as our second home because we feel it is a perfect blend of beauty (the color of the water is AMAZING!), nature, fun, relaxation and Charlevoix is close to other destinations like Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne City and Mackinac Island. From strolling the downtown boutiques, browsing an art fair or festival, walking to the lighthouse, taking a sunset cruise on the one of many charters, getting lost in the town's magnificent library, rock hunting, exploring the fall colors or winter sports, there is something for everyone nearby.
