Wed 4/2 Updates - At current time power has been restored at both the Charlevoix and Beaver Island locations. Expectation is we will be returning to normal operations tomorrow and staff will be on site at both locations. Next factor will be the runway/weather conditions in the morning but we expect if there is a delay it would be brief.

For Mackinac Island flights - earlier today runway conditions had vastly improved at the St. Ignace airport and the airport was reopened for operations but currently experiencing poor weather conditions and will review first thing tomorrow AM with regards to flight options.

With the Mackinac Bridge closed and uncertain when it will reopen, Fresh Air Aviation can currently offer flights from the Chippewa Airport (north of the bridge) to the Pellston Airport (south of the bridge) if needed. This would be offered on charter basis, that is one price for the regardless of the number of passengers. The price will be dependent on depend. Call 906-285-6727 for more information.

Mackinac Island updates. Unfortunately the st. Ignace airport remains closed due to runway conditions and limited plow equipment to service the runway. The City of St ignace is conserving. So we are working on other options to help those stranded south of the bridge in the interim.

Flights for Charlevoix and Beaver Island have resumed. Still no power so limited on answering phones, but monitoring messages.

Tuesday April 1st. Update for Charlevoix and Beaver Island flights. Runways are ready to go but still no power for the Beaver Island Airport and Charlevoix but we are working to utilize a generator to get our hangar doors open. Expectation is we will resume flights at 10 am.

Update for Charlevoix/Beaver Island Flights Mon 3/31 - due to current conditions and power outages there will unfortunately not be any flights for today. It is anticipated that we will able to get flights going by 10 am tomorrow. So those already reserved have been contacted and rescheduled. As best you can stay safe and warm!

Update for Mon 3/31 - Mackinac Island Flights - Due to icy runway conditions the Mackinac County Airport in St. Ignace has had to close the runway until further notice. In addition runway conditions on Mackinac Island are still poor and a notice was sent out that people shelter in place on the island while crews clear roads and work on power. So unfortunately we will be unable to offer any flights to or from Mackinac Island today. Will update tomorrow when we know more.

Monday 3/31 - Weather continues to hinder operations. Power is out at our Charlevoix and Beaver Island locations. So no staff on site until power restores. Runway conditions are currently poor and we are monitoring. The hope is if runway conditions improve we will try to get a couple flights in for Beaver Island this afternoon. For Mackinac Island operations we are monitoring runway conditions for there as well and if conditions permit and there is a need we will try to get some afternoon flights in there as well.

Sunday March 30th - due to a nasty ice storm and power outages at our Charlevoix and Beaver Island locations it is recommended that everyone stay off the roads. So flights for today will be rescheduled to Monday. Staff will be reaching out to those scheduled today. Thank you.
