Guess what?! “kids sail free” on Virgin Voyages - If they’re old enough to vote. 🤣 Now through August 23rd, Sailors who book a 2024 voyage for two, the second Sailor, ages 18-26 sail FREE. Virgin says Because they’ll always be kids to mom and dad, right?

It’s Virgin’s way of doing the “Kids Sail Free” thing while still remaining the exclusively adult, always luxury cruise line.

This weekend’s global technology outage that grounded all flights drives home an important thing that I stress to all my cruising clients - always plan to fly the day BEFORE your cruise! Flights are unpredictable - but you know what isn’t? The time that ship will pull away from the port, with or without you on it. Always allow the extra day in case you have to throw flight plans out the window and drive.

This brings out another important point - this is one of the reasons that adding travel protection is beneficial. Certain policies cover things like airline delays and cancellations.

Plan ahead for the unforeseen so you’re sitting on a beach sipping tropical drinks instead of sitting at an airport!

Travel Tip Tuesday: Write Down The Address Of Your Hotel -

Sometimes, after a long flight playing games on your smartphone, texting your friends, watching movies; your battery could end up dead. And if you didn’t write down the address of where you’re staying, how will you tell/show the taxi driver?

Go a step further: Put the NAME of your hotel on the tags on your bag! This will also help should they get lost or delayed.

Every now and then I do help plan some domestic trips - I have a couple heading to Savannah this week. Hope you all have a great time!! 😍

I did a full itinerary for this trip - dinner cruise, golf tee times, restaurant suggestions, historical tour, and more. I sent them a PDF of everything they are doing so they have an easy cheat sheet to access if need be.

The week of travel I always double check with the vendors to make sure everything is good to go. Can’t wait to hear how this one goes! 👏

Packing PATIENCE is my top travel tip. Don’t sweat the stuff you can’t control. Life is much too short to be angry & annoyed all the time while traveling. Did you miss your flight or transfer or your hotel isn’t ready “on time”? No worries, there will be another one and your room will be ready soon. Grab a drink, keep your blood sugar up and be kind to everyone!

Listen!! 2023 was a great growth year for my travel agency and I am excited to continue growing in 2024. (There are already 26 trips planned for 2024 😁). I loved every moment of my phone calls with my clients, the planning of multi-faceted trips, and the hours of training to learn more about resorts and destinations.

Wow! March disappeared faster than margaritas at the swim-up bar!

What a month, though. I had clients booked for Houston and Mexico and spent lots of time working on the business part behind the travel.

I also spent the month finalizing trip details for clients to Jamaica and another trip to Mexico just to name a few!

I’m very excited for my clients!! They are all taking some time away from their busy lives to refresh, reconnect, and have some fun.
