*MEET YOUR ADVISOR MONDAY*​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We have some new faces here, so I wanted to say hello! My name is Kaitlyn & I'm the travel planner behind Lumae Destinations, an affiliate of Fora Travel. I live in Charlotte, NC with my husband and two daughters. When I'm not traveling myself, I love reading books with my book club girlies & visiting our local Whitewater Center for a cold beer & live music with my family.

Rain or shine, you've just got to smile through it! Whenever things don't go according to plans on your travels, it can be really tough. The attitude you bring into the situation is what determines the memories made, and I can guarantee you'll never regret taking the trip if you come into every situation with a positive attitude!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Recently my friend & I tried to hike the Old Man of Storr on Isle of Skye, and halfway up the moderate hike, it POURED. I'm talking wind in your face, hair soaked, kind of downpour. We had two choices--we could let it ruin our morning, or we could just reroute our plans until the weather subsided. We decided on a quick reroute, and sure enough, the rain let up a while later and we were able to find greener pastures (literally! see next post!)
