Many people often see travel deals on Expedia and jump on them without much thought. And why wouldn't they?
Expedia makes them think they are getting a STEAL. Nice oceanfront room, big king bed, included amenities and activities, and sometimes they even throw in airfare or a trip to the spa. It sounds incredible.
But here's the truth: those "vacation deals" websites are completely ripping you off.
It may seem like you're getting exactly what's advertised (even if you read the fine print). It may seem like the company is legit - they have a professional website, it's a brand-name hotel, etc.
But there's a reason you're getting that great of a "deal." That company is sacrificing a service in some way in order to give you that amazing price - which can warp your experience.
I've heard so many horror stories from people that purchased these online deals. Here are a few of the popular ones: the room looked nothing like what they saw online, the cancellation or change fees were ridiculously steep, they got the longest flight or worst seat on the plane, there were hidden charges for everything, the area of the resort was sketchy, and getting a refund on their trip was like pulling teeth. Most times, they end up spending MORE money than they would have if they had just booked through a reputable company at a higher price!

☀️ The First 3 Steps You Need to Take to Choose the Right Kind of Vacation For You 🏝
1. Think about what kind of experience you want - this is one of the very first (and most important) things I ask my clients when we begin working together. I ask things like: Do you want your entire family to tag along, or do you just want it to be you and your partner or you and your children? Do you want to have an adventure? Relaxation? Do you want to be pampered? Do you want to have authentic cultural experiences, or are you just looking for fun things to do? This is important to have clarity on so you’ll know what’s at the top of your priority list!
2. Think about the kind of experience you DON’T want - Maybe you know for sure that you are tired and exhausted from everyday life, and the thought of packing your itinerary with a bunch of physical activities sounds like something you absolutely don’t want to do. Take note of this! This is super important to know so that you can make sure to choose a resort and excursions that are going to relax you, not tire you out. Maybe you’re the opposite and you’re tired of doing nothing at home, and you want an itinerary full of exciting excursions and taking in the culture around you. Make note of this too!
3. Determine your non-negotiables. What are some of the amenities or things that you MUST have in a vacation package or hotel? For example, do you want a vacation home with a private pool? Do you want a resort with a spa? Will you absolutely freak out if you have to sleep on anything smaller than a king bed? Do you want an ocean or mountain view from your hotel room?
Things like this are super important to know BEFORE you start looking for a vacation package, resort, or vacation home rental. This will help you narrow those options down and make it easier to decide, and will exclude those vacation packages, resorts, or rental homes that don’t have your desired amenities and non-negotiables so you won’t waste y
