Keep an eye to the skies for a new balloon over Charlottesville sometime soon! Our new arrival is on her way from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and we are hoping to have her FAA approved and home to start flying in mid-January if the weather gods are willing 🙏🤞. Super excited to see how her colors pop on a sunny day rather than these dreary, overcast pictures from her test inflation.

Happy Montgolfier Day! What does that mean?! Man first flew in 1783. First “manned” hot air balloon flight was today, 241 years ago 🙌! (Spoiler: wasn’t actually the Montgolfiers, it was de Rozier).

Trying to think of ways to help. If you know of anyone who has been affected by Helene in NC or TN (or elsewhere), our tiny house Airbnb is currently available Sun afternoons-Fri mornings in Oct/Nov. We would be happy to host anyone displaced or affected for free during the week when we are not already booked. I know it's not much, in light of the loss and devastation, but a short reprieve or escape, chance to regroup, etc. on our peaceful farm may be welcomed. We are dog friendly. Please have them contact me.
