Pastor Charles "Rickey" Elton Jackson, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at the University of VirginiaMedical Centerin Charlottesville, Virginia. He was born June 5, 1949, in Louisa, County Virginia, to the late Robert Lee and Mildred Bishop Jackson. He was predeceased by his son, Rickey; and three brothers, Clarence, James, and Lawrence Jackson.Rickey loved the Lord with all his heart. He began his ministry as an evangelist under the Apostolic Church Teaching Services (ACTS) Fellowship and served in that capacity for eighteen years. He was the director of Christians In Action (CIAM) Ministries for six years, and became pastor for A Ministry For Christ (AMFC) Ministry for twelve years until his departure. Rickey was a journeyman butcher and worked and managed a number of markets in the greater Charlottesville area.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Theresa Coles Jackson; their daughter, Eltonia "Toni" Zeller and husband, William "Shaun"; devoted godchildren, Kenny and Joan Mady; three grandchildren, Maya, Shaun, Jr., and Rickey; one god grandson, Cameron Mady of Charlottesville, Virginia; and a loving great granddaughter, Skylar, affectionately known to Rickey as "Zeta". He also leaves to cherish his memory five brothers, Carl, Roy, and Joseph (Katherine) of Louisa, Virginia, Thomas Jackson (Juanita) of Richmond, Virginia, and Nelson Jackson (Stephanie) of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Sarah Copeland (Pastor James), and Esther Allen (Ken) of Louisa, Virginia, one aunt, Hazel Batchelor of Washington, D.C.; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Fitch; brother-in-law, Gary Coles (Patricia) of Charlottesville, Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1675 Avon Street Ext. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family will
